At least it wasn't EA. Half the features would be removed in the sequel and you could only download it from EA's Steam clone. And it has to always be online even if you're playing offline.
At first, I believed that if Minecraft was bought by Microsoft, they'd ruin it like with Banjo-Kazooie. But then, I realized, after reading Notch's farewell letter, I couldn't do anything to stop it. Notch deserves to have his sanity, and I believe that money isn't important for him or me, but the fact of creating fun games for those who want to play.

To Notch: Fare thee well, Mr. Persson! You have brought us Minecraft and Scrolls, but I think you deserve to have some rest from the spotlight. Hope you make some nice games on your own!

I didn't make that up. I looked up Rare's games list on Wikipedia. They released some kinect game in 2011, same year as Minecraft, and since then they also released a sequel to it and the Xbone remake of Killer Instinct.

Wikipedia's page for Mojang only lists Minecraft and two unreleased games.

Wikipedia could be wrong or I could be misreading it though. What else did they release?

At first glance it does look like the didn't get released, but if you read a little more you will find that both of them have public releases as alpha or beta. Just not official final releases. They are available to download.
