I have it installed along with the RTP, RTP 1.39 or whatever it's called, and a patch for the fonts for the RTP. I have one game installed and it works, WITH NO TEXT!!

I've had the same problem when trying to play some Rm2k games. Unfortunately, my weak attempts to resolve the issue were unsuccessful.
Try copying the fonts to your WINDOWS\FONTS directory.
