GETTING A NEW GRAPHICS CARD?

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

If your hard drive and CD drive have the big flat gray cables going from them to the motherboard, then you need an IDE power supply. The flat gray cables don't actually go to the power supply, but they're the easy way to tell what kind of power supply you need.
Took it to pc laptops and they plugged it into a crazy power supply and got the same result. This leads them to think that either the motherboard had something wrong with it, or the processor does.
If it's the processor, you've led me astray :(
I'm disappointed.
I'm just letting them fix it because I don't want to deal with it anymore. I'll probably end up breaking it more and they're experts.
So it's time to do some odd jobs and sell random stuff around my house.
They said the fix would be around $200 if it was the motherboard since it's such an old machine.
Fml.
The graphics card came in the mail today... And I need a new power supply for it anyway.
MORE stuff to buy. Hooray.
You can probably see now the problem with upgrading such an old machine, as GreatRedSpirit mentioned. If you can get a few hundred together, you should just buy a new PC. Even Alienware has a machine that is more powerful than the latest consoles for $500 or less. Really you should be able to just get a case, mobo, processor and power supply and you should be ok with the graphics, HDD and RAM you have, for now.
