Hello!

My name is Edgar and I'm from Latin America :) I just got the whole bunch of RPG Maker VX Ace goodies during the midweek offer via Steam in hopes of making some fun games to either sell or upload so others can enjoy them.

I have been working alone for a some time (back when I used VX, 2 or 3 years ago) but haven't learnt any of the more advanced stuff like scripting, parallax lighting, etc. My lifetime dream is to become a VG developer and create awesome stuff with a few friends.

It will be a long and tough road though, since I ignore a lot of stuff other, more experienced and dedicated users know like photoshop, sprite art, audio editing, composing, etc. I'm only confident in my writing skills and stories (I study Literature and Creative Writing) but I want to learn a lot of new stuff!

I hope to meet people like me in this community and get some advice for my projects. I'm counting on you all and pleased to meet you :D
Pleased to meet you too!
Welcome to RMN!

Yeah, we all have to start somewhere, don't we?
Anyways if you need help in anything (really, anything at all. No exag) don't hesitate to ask around in the forums!
Midweek Madness? THIS. IS. RMN!

Anywho, welcome to RMN and good luck with your project!
Hahaha xD Thanks a lot! :D I'm glad to be part of this community.

Call me crazy, but the name "Gryphonheart" calls forth references to the Might and Magic series.

Yeah, I'm probably crazy.

HA!! You are not! :D!

Indeed. I use this nick as a reference to the Gryphonheart dynasty in Might and Magic universe :D I loved the old games, like Heroes 3 of Might and Magic or Heroes Chronicles Saga.

I do enjoy Heroes 2 and/or 3 from time-to-time. Though, the main series is more my jam. My favorites were 4 and 5, though 6 and 7 were pretty sweet.

Man, I've still never beaten Secret of the Inner Sanctum. Or 9, for that matter. I found 9 to be pretty meh, though.
