CYOR: BREATH OF MAFIA GAME THREAD

Wow, this was unexpected. I was pretty sure Platinum would've been mafia. Uh, I wonder where to start looking now. First I'm thinking of people who didn't really warm on the idea of lynching Platinum. Wes? and uh, feck...?

Still, I find it unlikely that scums would've been pushing Platinum Ashes lynch as they would've had to "make up" their suspicions towards PA. Gotta re-read posts prior to PA lynch. ._.

That may or may not be a good idea. Give me some time to consider this and rethink things. We're still on my 9th cup of coffee. When I get back home tonight I'll go back through the thread and try to draw some conclusions knowing what we know now.

I've gone back and forth whether you're an eggressive good egg or mafia trying to constantly deflect suspicion. You have been generally leading the conversation as well.

Happy is the one who called out Liberty's bluff. Mafia would not do that unless they made a plan in advance that would cover his trail. But when the pizza made him into a miller, he came right out with the fact. There is the possibility that he's lying, and that his lower post count is him laying low in the face of her death. But its a stretch, I think. Why would he bother to bring up this idea that pizza affects alignment? It doesn't help him at all.

I could be guilty of the same, but even less likely. I pursued Happy's accusations and thought Liberty was scum myself. That means if I was the other mafia I didn't need to plan out the cover and could have hopped onto the bandwagon so my vote was where it counted. Yet, unlike him and PA, I was trying to get the Liberty vote to go through because I realized she was our best bet, her or Happy for supposedly covering her. If I was scum there was no need to pursue the vote because everyone believed her, and no vote was going to happen anyway. Why would I actively try to get her killed when she was basically in the clear? That too, is a stretch.

Anybody else getting a sense of deja-vu in regards to unity's pleas? The content is different, but the appeal to emotions is there.

Let me try to explain this. You didn't want Platinum to flip town, but now that he has, you're pleading to die. Except that you might be town. Killing three town in one day is... pretty terrible.

I don't really see how lynching unity will benefit us. Granted, I am very fresh in this game (and I'm slightly biased because we are IRL buddies), but she has seemed one of the least suspicious people here.

I'm probably a better lynch choice just because I contribute less. XD

Right now I am voting for Unity, because:

1. Unity "is responsible" for day killing a town player and not voting for Liberty, and people are getting suspicious of her.

2. If you're a town player in unity's situation here, you'd be sorry, sure, but now how would you express this to people, so that you'd win their sympathy and forgiveness, when in a game like this it's really hard to earn anybody's trust and hard to really explain yourself to others, so that people would be willing to believe?

Well, here's the answer: GO TO THE EXTREME. In other words: unity is taking the pre-emptive and going for the action that's the worst possible outcome of her actions so far: a vote to lynch her. She's emphasizing the more unpleasant choice of the two that we would have to choose between from, when considering whether we'd be suspicious of her or not. She's saying "I'M TAKING THE RESPONSIBILITY, LYNCH ME." which at this point has an overtone of saying "THIS IS THE MOST BELIEVABLE WAY TO SAY I REALLY AM SORRY," though from town teamplay perspective it would be pointless to kill someone we think is town.

So, long story short: I think she's manipulating us. She's using so much effort on what impression to give us.

Also, sorry for bad formatting and everything. The first point isn't supposed to be a standalone reason why I want to lynch her. I would edit the number out. It's just supposed to lead to the rest of the argument, which as whole is my reason.
