Okay, I'm just asking.

I grew up playing Space Rogue, Wing Commander, and Privateer. Is anyone else looking forward to Chris Roberts' latest project, Star Citizen?
I backed this on Kickstarter and I sort of regret it. Not much though. But this seems like such a weird phenomenon that I'm not sure what to make of it. I get e-mails with progress reports all the time and I don't read any of them. But from other sources I've sort of found out that there are ships being sold for huge moneys and a whole economy and metastory going on for a game that doesn't even remotely exist yet.

Essentially the game is giving me all kinds of bad vibes and though I haven't spent much on it, I feel sort of bad for spending on it at all...

But I'll guess we'll see what it'll turn into in the end. If it will ever turn into anything at all.

I can understand that, but if you check in on it, you'll see that Roberts is indeed working on this game, and after making awesome games his entire life, leaving the scene without a flop to his name, I doubt he's going to give his fans a shit sandwich, especially after he only wanted $500,000 to do the game and ended up crowd funding 56 million. That's the sort of thing that makes you aim to please.

I haven't been following it very well, but, yeah, I'm interested in Star Citizen. Hell, I was playing Privateer and Privateer 2 almost side-by-side about a month ago, and have a copy of Freelancer lying around that isn't installed right now.
