First a bullet wound doesn't mean it's from Gourd's bullet. As for me, I am going to die anyway. You don't have to kill me. Only the assassin needs to kill me. It would be a very bad idea to waste that.

I remember in some of the olden games the protector character would protect people but would die himself if he protected the wolf. So although it is unlikely it might be possible that happened and there truly was only one regular killing in the night.
Though with the emount of items and randomness and other stuff in this game it's highly unlikely such a... "regular" thing happened. (unless the random elements are just a ruse and we really are just playing a regular game. If that's the case I say, well played Liberty, well played)
