SUIKODEN MAFIA [GAME ON, PEEPS]
Posts
I have nobody to blame but myself. It's becoming an issue so I think I need to clarify, even though I think talking about it further may be unwise considering how much trouble I got into during the last day phase. I am NOT the Tenkai's lover. I am simply in love with him. My character has never actually approached the Tenkai. Admire from afar, that sort of thing. It's a crush.

i've neverp layed mafia before.
the other thing is that i know there are t least two people who 'protect' in this game. if piano is telling the truth, there are three??? what th efuck??? no way
author=CAVE_DOG_IS_BACK
my role pm mentions the existence of two of them. one protector is dead, and the other is not the tenkai's lover.
Did Piano claim to be a protector? Did I miss that?
author=Ebethauthor=wildwesErr maybe my logic's been scrambled from drawing drapes for 5 hours straight but if the assassin targeted the tenkai and the protector was dead wouldn't the tenkai star just die, thus fulfilling his goal??
Well, on the subject of the assassin not killing a Protector of the Tenkai: the assassin may not be killing the Protector and going for the Tenkai instead because, well, think about it: if the assassin targets the Tenkai, the Protector dies instead. Meaning the Protector's out of the way and now the assassin will know the Tenkai is the person they targeted. So it's smart to leave the Protector alive.
I don't see how it would be beneficial to keep the protector around. Not that it really be useful to kill them immediately because then the assassin would just be wasting a night kill.
Nonono youdon'tgetit
Think about this: the Protector and Tenkai are both alive. Assassin targets the Tenkai, but instead the PROTECTOR dies because he/she protected the Tenkai. Come the next day phase, teh Protector's death is announced, and the Tenkai notices that the Tenkai (a.k.a. the person he/she targeted) isn't dead. The assassin comes to the conclusion that the now dead Protector must have protected the person teh assassin targeted= teh Tenkai! Now the assassin knows for sure teh Tenkai is the person he/she targeted.
Basically, if the assassin kills the protector he/she still won't know who the Tenkai Star is. But if he tries killing peeps OTHER than the Protector, than eventually he'll hit the Tenkai, and then the Protector will protect the Tenkai and die. And then the assassin will know the person he/she targeted was the Tenkai sinc ethe Protector protected him/her. And since the Protector died the assassin won't have to deal with the aforementioned protector.
Am I making any sense here or...?????
The math is still the same. If there hadn't been a protector, the Tenkai dies and we lose, but if there IS a protector who dies because the Tenkai was targeted, you get an extra day phase to find the assassin. Kill the protector and you lose that valuable, albeit slim buffer.

Are you a protector? I think I may have missed or forgotten that point.
Hmm, interesting. Not something I can do something with right now, but definitely a piece of the puzzle. What do you think of Cave's claim that he has inside info that there's only one other protector and that you aren't it?

How would he know? Where would he get this inside info, except from Liberty. If he's hacked the site, that's grounds for a little more than mod-kill. Think about it.

Piano claims he knows who the tenkai is.
If this is true, Piano CAN'T be the assassin because THE TENKAI WOULD BE FUKKEN DEAD.
Unless this is some kind of weird yandere bullshit where the love-assassin has to spend time getting into a rabid froth before stabbing the shit out of their victim.

I'm not saying I believe him. Quite the opposite in fact. He's been making quite a few claims to get voting started, for better or for worse. As a matter of fact, this doesn't feel like the same Cave Dog I played with in PA's game.

My suspicion's on you until you can adequately clear up where all your hidden information keeps coming from.

Shinan explained for me.

I remember in some of the olden games the protector character would protect people but would die himself if he protected the wolf. So although it is unlikely it might be possible that happened and there truly was only one regular killing in the night.
I know this was a bit of a roundabout way of saying it, but I had emboldened the part of Shinan's statement that described a protector.

Whether or not Cave is assy, he's started being unhelpful in an unfunny way, so at the least I feel like we won't be losing a lot by lynching him.
Ah, right. Okay then.
...You know, I have a case against someone but to use said case against them I'd have to reveal my role and I am feeling rather conflicted about that. But then again, if I'm right, then I wouldn't have to worry anyways... hm. man I've said too much already haven't I...?

To be clear, I'm still suspicious of Jeroen_Sol, but Jeroen's at least working hard to look town. Cave just looks insane. And not in the fun way, either.

And no, I don't know what player the Tenkai is. I only know the real name that Libby assigned to it.

Shit, I didn't realise we were supposed to even keep the NAMES a secret. I GUESS IT'S GOOD I AM NOT THE TENKAI.
I actually agree with Sooz and Unity here. Cave is like throwing a grenade into a room full of people, and he's being strange. What makes him think Jeroen is assassin? What is his fake-inside information? Why do I keep ending my questions with periods instead of question marks?

It's your call. I don't think saying "I have a role and I've been using it to build a case" means you've said too much, as in a game like this there area a lot of powers going around, but you shouldn't reveal your role unless the evidence you have is particularly damning or conclusive. Again, your call, but be careful about it.
