Seriously one of my favorite movies when I was a kid.

They're making a Gem and the Holograms movie, a prequel to Despicable Me and a spin-off to Madagascar. Captain Planet should be any day now in the land of hacks without any talent.
AKA Hollywood.
Right now, Hollywood is in the 90s regarding "remaking cartoons/TV shows into new live action features". So just start listing off semi-popular shows from that era and I am sure you'll predict some.
Live-action Simpsons? Chip and Dales Rescue Rangers? Darkwing Duck? Care Bears? Gargoyles? ReBoot?
In about 6 years or so they will start moving on 2000s cartoons.

The entirety of my childhood. I want to see a reboot of Reboot most of all, and I seem to remember that one was in works years ago.
I wasn't allowed to watch Captain Planet. My mother thought it was satanic. Not one episode, and I tried. The Lion King was satanic because of the Circle of Life, but I had already seen it by the time my mother found out.
Guys, seriously. Go to google and look up College Humor Captain Planet.

I actually would love to see a Captain Planet movie, or maybe even a new television show reboot. I always thought that show had some untapped potential if they ever got the right group of people to work on it again. Come on, Ted Turner!
...What about Al Gore? He would make the perfect fit.
(Or at least put him in there in some sort of a cameo role.)

Voltron, Denver the Last Dinosaur, Muppet Babies, Silverhawks (Voltron and this one were my two favorites), She-Ra, Dungeons and Dragons (or at least they need to make better than crap they put in theaters), G. I. Joe (the movies they've made could be better, but I'm alright with them), Pokemon (Getting into the 90s now. Boy, I never got into the games, but I sure loved the show), Pinky and the Brain, Gargoyles (This, Voltron, and Silverhawk are all in my top five), X-Men (the movies are really leaving a bad taste in my mouth), Futurama, The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, Taz-Mania, Cadillacs and Dinosaurs...
