Hello, community or I should say HELLO RMN! I started to fiddle around with RPG Maker 2000 and thought why not I build my own cool RPG game from that engine so that's what I did, recently that one was so old I've gone to 2003 for it's better features on what 2000 version lacked.
I use Wineskin a wine wrapper for Mac since my Macbook is way too old to run BootCamp so I just use wineskin with no problems so I'm a noob at making games for RPG Maker 2003 since I've moved from 2000 to the 03 version anyway.
Another thing the translated version of 2003's installer isn't fully translated into english right not sure why though.

Still working on the system bringing the A Link to the Past style, plus RPG Maker 2003's installer still has not been patched to english yet. Though I do have the english translated one may have to find the full english one.

Zelda and Sonic together at last. Now there's a cool cross over.
yeah just my silly username from Zelda Universe forums brought here.
I crossed Zelda and Rush. Mine is superior.
Btw, when referring to those engines we usually say something like 2k/3.
Btw2, play my Zelda game!
BTW3, don't bother using the "installer" when distributing your game. Simple zip/rar the folder and send it out. Installers are shitting up computer registries for no good reason. Generally people have downloaded indie games before that were zipped. I fucking hate installers.

Okay I'll play around with yours soon, so is there a Run Time file exe in every project? I could use a Wineskin wrapper and install it using that installer game unless there's another way to run the game.
Yeah. Every game folder contains RPG_RT.exe. That will run the game. That is what runs when you do testplay. There is no need to install anything for a self contained game. Games that use even a single RTP resource will look for that to be installed unless you include those files in the game folder and edit the RPG_RT.ini file. I can explain further if that applies. If you don't use any RTP, then a game folder will always be self contained.
It can happen that a person doesn't understand how a .zip functions so you might want to include instructions. If you care. I don't do that.
I don't know anything about Wineskin or Mac or how that would interfere with this whole process.
