Dudesoft, I would like to make a suggestion.
I read a bit of the previous Battledome thread and it seemed voting usually happened on a pretty arbitrary basis. Now, nothing wrong with fooling around and having fun, but I had the following idea in mind to make it a bit more interesting:
Every time a new battle starts, both combatants should have the chance to write a short summary of what specific battle strategy they want to employ against this particular enemy. Though, in order to prevent them from unfairly reacting to the other's strategy, they don't post it in this thread. Instead, they send it to you (Dudesoft) as a PM and when both have sent in their strategies, you post them in this thread.
That way, people will have some more substance to base their voting decision on. And it would create a stronger feeling of actual competition that can be influenced by the players, without it being as complicated and time-consuming as role-playing the entire battle.
What do you think?
Edit: By the way, that music track is epic!

Please do this, it makes a lot of sense.

We did this during the Fight Fest III: 3rd Strike tournament. I feel the same way, and it would be cool to see again. Totally agree.
This is a great idea.

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Team Name: Impervious
Style: Cornish Wrestling
Controller: Cashew, Rhapsody and Raindrop
These girls belong to a race called the Flapnoggins, which have the appearance of a bodiless human-like head that flies around with tiny bat wings. The three girls are child prodigies on their home planet, known for their cleverness, bloodthirst and ruthlessness in combat, and work for the military to pilot combat drones in intergalactic wars.
The three girls are best friends and act like typical fourth-graders. Cashew, on the left, wants to start a pop idol group but has no singing talent. Rhapsody, center, is clumsy and thinks her jokes are funnier than they are. Raindrop, on the right, likes to imagine she is the leader of the three, though neither of the other girls think of her this way.

Sponsor: Impervious Shield Defense Network (ISDN)
ISDN is a contractor for the Flapnoggin military, which entered the Battledome to show off its planet's cutting-edge technology. It specializes in creating heavy artillery vehicles with reinforced armor.
Inexplicably, every single one of the 127 employees of ISDN is a Flapnoggin preteen girl, and they all attend the same elementary school. This isn't an intentional hiring policy, nor a cultural phenomenon. It's just a highly unlikely coincidence.

Robot: The Planet Slammer
The Planet Slammer will kick your robot's ass.

Spend 320,000 space bucks on stats:
+60 health
+0 attack
+70 defense
+0 agility
+190 energy
Spend 280,000 space bucks on weapons:
3 weatherguards (just in case one gets damaged)
2 tracking sensors (same reason)
20 tower shields (surrounding entire body several times)
120 whetanium arm shields (covering entire body head to toe, several times)
20 crustacean plates (layered one on top of the other for an absurd amount of bulk)
40 energy shields (normally keep 5 active at a time, adding new ones as they get destroyed, may use fewer if need to conserve energy)
45 energy stealers (to power the energy shields, and drain the enemy until they can't move)
1 anti-theft device (just in case)
20 beam cannons (used once the enemy runs out of energy and can no longer move)

The big problem during that tournament, really, was that every contestant fought every single other contestant, so each person had something like 120 fights to vote on. It was too much. Shit, that would be too much even without having to write a couple sentences for each one.
@kentona:
Pessimistic much? Though you're somewhat right, that could be a problem. People should either have more than enough time to send Dudesoft their PMs, or be forcibly assigned a strategy by Dudesoft if they don't react in time. Or some similar solution.
@LockeZ's robot:
What.
Anyway, I got my bot and background ready (not the drawings, though).
Controller: Lucy & Lucius
Two gifted human cyborg twins (20 years old) whose brains are electronically connected to form one hyper-intelligent and flexible unity. With their double-brain power, Lucy and Lucius are able to come up with solutions for complex problems incredibly quickly. The downside of their cumulated intelligence can be a short reaction delay in the rare case they fundamentally disagree on a course of action, plus their relatively young age makes them less experienced than other controllers. Lucius is mainly responsible for ranged combat and observing enemies' actions, while Lucy generally takes care of melee combat, defense and movement.

A repair-service corporation which operates service-points on multiple different planets. Specialized in high-quality reparation of damaged machines and electronical devices, this company is a thorn in the side of many businesses that speculate on customers purchasing new items once their old ones break. Aggressive attempts to push "Screw'D" out of business have failed so far, but the company is not very popular among technology-focused businessmen.
"Screw'D" sponsors Lucy and Lucius to portrait themselves as supporting the future generation. They also hope to impress the Battledome organizers with their repairing skills and get them to grant "Screw'D" exclusive rights to repair robots and arena equipment during future installments of the Battledome.

Company Logo:
Robot Name: Aureos
A compact, tough but otherwise rather balanced battlebot bursting with weapons. Its shape reminds a bit of a cross between a human head, a small tank and a hedgehog or armadillo.
Aureos' main circuits are highly resilient and hidden under a thick layer of metal and isolation materials. The outer hull is covered with two layers of small metal plates, which provide decent protection and allow for some flexibility in movement. On its bottom, it has five wheels for quick movement and four stretchable legs that allow for jumps and are designed to prevent slipping. One of the legs is also equipped with the Shock-kick weapon.
On both the outer left and right side, Aureos has an arm, each with a Crab Hand and a Whetanium Arm Shield, which is designed to protect the other weapons from harm. Above these arms, an Energy Stealer is attached to Aureos on the right side, on his left side is a Buzz Saw Arm. Higher up, each flank is geared with a Gatling Gun. Close to the top, Aureos has a Spear Cannon on the right and a Shotgun with Armour Piercing Rounds on the left side. On the very top, a Water Cannon is installed, its tank being attached to the back. Conveniently, all these weapons are able to rotate freely and independently, except for the Water Cannon, whose aim is fixed.
Also, on the front side, where extra cameras supplement the built-in Tracking Sensor, in the position of the "mouth" a Flash Freeze Bomb launcher is placed. On Aureos' lower back, you can also find a Quarium Whip which sort of acts as a tail, as well as some NanoThread below. Of course, all this equipment makes Aureos quite heavy, which is why it needs to use two powerful engines installed inside it. Aureos can still use basic functions with only one engine intact, but both are needed in order to display its full potential.
Aureos got its name from the fact that its early prototype had a gold-coloured hull. While this is no longer the case, the nickname stuck and has now become official.

Discription:
Waaaaaaaaaaaaay Back in the year 20XX TangledlionX, owner and desendant of the founder, of Lionsclaw Inc, created two master inventions. One was a neural link device that allowed one man to control one Configured machine. The downside? He had no clue how the the config posses would take and he was very impataint.
The second was made remedy these issues, a stasis chamber! once activated he would instantly Wake one the system was configured! It worked... And he is now thousands of years in the future...0_0 Great!
Now the only way to get his company back is to win the tournament because...Reasons.
His greatest weakness is also his greatest strength, the Neural Link Device(NLD)!
He can Truly become one with his bot, which can be good or bad, as he is very brilliant, but equally distractable.

Yes they are sponsoring the dude who wants to take over, get over it! They need the money as the inventions have gotten less and less amazing as time has gone on...

Not done with the bot yet...
Requested Rocket Boots are added!
I should probably sign up too, but I feel like taking a Battlechip is left over.
Edit: because items are being added, you are allowed to change submissions until cut off.
I will probably stop taking Armoury requests by the end of the week though, so people don't have last minute alterations to benefit above all else.

Okay, this must have been the first time in years I actually attempted to draw something. Don't think I was ever better, though. This gorgeous horrible piece of art crap actually took me three complete drawing attempts until I was somewhat satisfied not totally disgusted.
Whatever, I updated my previous post with all necessary information. Though, there really is no way I'm going to be able to draw my Controllers. I'm sorry, you'll just have to use your imagination.

@NeverSilent
If you make some sort of reference sheet and Dudesoft says it's okay I'd be glad to draw your controllers for you! I really want to spend some time improving my digital art abilities and I've had a blast working on my controller/robot duo so far. (I'm nearly done! Just a bit more polishing on my controller)

Oh yeah, totally okay. Normally I'd offer myself, even.
Speaking of drawing, if anyone needs help, don't be afraid to say so. I don't expect everyone to be Picasso. If you at least do some scribbles and scan them or MS Paint a bit, I or someone else would gladly pitch in and polish it up.
Oh, also, I need to start drawing the comic for this soon. Already have some plans for it...

@LockeZ's robot:
What.
Maybe I should've waited until some more typical ones were submitted so my instantwinbot didn't taint people's choices.
I just finished drawing it! Post updated with image. I considered not even giving it legs and just making it be a sphere of armor, but I couldn't make it look good.
Are we supposed to describe our robot and/or controller? The OP is sort of a wall of text, there's not a simple list of everything we need to submit anywhere in it, could you add a checklist at the end Dudesoft? I don't actually even see in the OP where it says to draw the robot, I just assumed we were supposed to because it's a Dudesoft event.
Have added a drawing of Controller and a sponsor to my post. Still need to do a robot and I will decide it's stats then.
@Ebeth:
That would be totally awesome! Thank you so much! I put a general description of my controllers in my earlier post, but just tell me whatever else you need and I'll get it ready to the best of my abilities and as soon as possible. (I'm sorry for not knowing exactly what the word "reference sheet" means...)
@Dudesoft:
Thanks a lot for the offer. I'm not really happy with my robot sketch, but I believe it's at least possible to guess from it what I was going for. If you'd want to draw an improved version of it, I wouldn't say no (and would be really grateful), but it isn't strictly necessary. I don't want to waste your time and energy, after all.
@LockeZ and pianotm:
Those drawings look great! I especially like your massive robot, LockeZ. That thing would scare the bolts out of any lame Transformer.
