FIVE RANDOM THOUGHTS ABOUT VIDEO GAMES.
Posts
1. I really need to play Fire Emblem and see what all the fuss is about.
2. Two rings of Varda turn you into a GAWD in SoTN. My god has it been fun to whomp on things.
3. Ok, Suikoden 1 IS better than Suikoden 2 because of nostalgia value.
4. I want scripts so I can make a Kings Quest 1-4 type game. (a mixture of text/graphic adventure)
5. Armored Core was a badass game. I miss it so...

My reccomendation for FE games are the GBA titles. I think once it hit 3D, it lost a lot of the original charm. Then again. I've only played up till FE8! Most of them haven't been put in English unless you get patches people have made (it's how I got to play a lot of them, actually). My favorites are FE6 and 8. Blazing Sword and Sacred Stones. <3 SETH! <3
author=WillCourt link=topic=1683.msg38130#msg38130 date=1224091080I've never heard of a good point-and-click game, but then again, I'm not versed in PC gaming very well. XD
-Where are all the good point-and-click games nowadays? :'(
The good PC point-and-click game died out loooong ago... but now the Wii is here... I dunno... the only good point-and-click game we've had for the Wii was Zack and Wiki... (although I AM planning on buying Sam and Max: Season 1 soon)
Awwww cool! I'll check it out later! :D Has anyone played Monkey Island? I'm thinking how stupid it was to trade that in..... :-\
author=WillCourt link=topic=1683.msg38150#msg38150 date=1224093640It's making a bit of a comeback. The Telltale games (Sam&Max and Strongbad) but also the Adventure Company that releases a lot of adventure games by a bunch of European developers (mostly french it seems).

I've been browsing some gaming stores lately and I see more and more of these games there.
I really REALLY want Strongbad, but have no wireless internet unfortunatly. I COULD buy a Internet Wii Wire thing, but.... SO... MUCH.. HASSLE...
author=WillCourt link=topic=1683.msg38206#msg38206 date=1224103398Well it's not like the game is a Wii-exclusive

Am I the only one who never understood why people like the Nintendo 64 over the Playstation?
Can someone explain that to me?

Other than that, yeah, I was pretty disappointed in the N64. However (and this is a big however), Super Smash Bros. is far and away the greatest game to come out of that generation of consoles.
I mean, don't get me wrong, N64 had some great games, but for every one great game that N64 had, the Playstation literally had about 5 great games to N64's 1, not to mention the several other genres that wasn't even represented by any games on the N64.
Am I the only person who finds it ridiculously hard to stick to one video game and actually finish it? :\

Not for me! I love to stick with a game, unless it gets boring and/or I get stuck.
As for the N64, the reason why my dad got us a Playstation was because of the wider variety of games, and he wasn't very hopeful about the shape of the controller. My brother eventually got one to play Zelda, which we both thought was fun at the time. We had both Zeldas, Smash Brothers, and the Pokemon games... and that's it.
Oh, and we had Quest 64, but that has to be the worst RPG known to man. I don't like to remember having it.

Goldeneye was one hell of a game to play. The cheats made it heaps fun as well turning on invincible mode and golden gun and blasting the shit out of your opponent. :)

Ocarina of Time! How could you forget Ocarina of Time?!
It felt like a blatant copy of A Link to the Past. Three pendants, three "spiritual stones". Seven crystals and the decendants of the seven sages, seven medallions and the seven sages themselves. Oh, and don't forget that the future Gannon created looked and felt just like the dark world.
There were slight differences, the Kokiri kids and the Great Deku tree. But it felt too much like A Link to the Past for that to even matter.
