1. Are you still in school?
Yes, I'm actually posting from there right now.
2. What grade are you going into?
I'm going into my freshman year of college studying for a Bachelors in Music Composition and possibly a degree in something else... Not sure what yet, though; depends on how much time I have in my schedule. I know it can't be linguistics, unfortunately; this school doesn't offer it.
3. When do you go back to school?
Like I said, I'm posting from my dorm. I moved in... yesterday. Had to come in a week and a half early for band camp since our first game is next Saturday (against Navy :o )
4. What classes are you taking?
Music Theory I, Musicianship I (seriously, I don't understand why they make music majors, who have to AUDITION ON AN INSTRUMENT to get in, have to take Musicianship; I read the textbook -- it's stuff we musicians learned IN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL D:), Marching Band, Composition lessons - 100 Level (this is actually quite optional, since you're really not supposed to start lessons till your sophomore year at the 200 level), bassoon lessons, German Elements I, Honors Introduction to International Relations, Piano III: Keyboard Harmony (bleh)
5. Where will you be doing "back to school shopping"?
K-Mart, Wal-mart, Target, Dollar Store... I think that's all we went to.
6. Are you excited? Do you look forward to it?
I'm pretty pumped. I mean, marching band really tires you out, but it's great exercise (as if walking from my dorm to the practice field isn't enough; 10 minutes to get from one side of campus to the other -- my route). And I can't wait for classes to start. Except my 8AM Piano III class. If I can get out of it by skill, I will. Oh, and Mon/Wed will be killer because I have Int'l Relations, German, and Marching Band in a row (with 15 minutes between) and I have to have all my stuff for marching band. I might be able to make it to my dorm, pick up my stuff, and run to the field, but... it might be easier just to carry it. I'd have to see.
And my clubs will be totally awesome. Diversity Club the first day of school, and Anime Club the first Thursday after school starts. :3

As true today as it was when it was written...? Call me barbaric but I wouldn't have a problem with chewing out a student with some cutting Catholic guilt if I was a teacher, or hitting my kids if I decided it was the best form of discipline (I'd never hit my kids out of anger or frustration though). I grew up in a place where you're supposed to spoil your wife, not your kids.

Karsuman you probably already know but a group from your school got their game accepted as the Penny Arcade Expo Top Ten Indie Games "Impulse" I believe the game was.

The game design, graphic design and animation departments get a lot of awards. Hopefully that's a good sign for me. =)

I'd post something about my first day of classes, but I'm not done yet. I've got another class at 3:30, then I'm going to the Diversity Club meeting at 6. Got out early from Theory, though! :D
