The first French animation I ever saw was Fantastic Planet it's incredibly trippy.

Tales of the Night was very interesting it's about 3 people imagining stories that take place all around the world. It's the most recent French film I've seen.

My personal favorite is Kirikou and the Sorceress. It's about a talented baby named Kirikou who defends his village from an evil sorceress. It takes place in Africa.

French animation is absolutely fantastic. My personal favorites include Ernest et Celestine, Wakfu, and the Secret of Kells.

The secret of kells and wakfu are both on netflix too! It's great.

I love how french animation tends to go for more artistic presentations that a lot of western animation. it feels like the art is a high consideration.
I remember watching lots of Oggy and the Cockroaches back in my elementary school days.
The show always cracked me up. Still does, it's pretty trippy.
Took a few more years before I figured out it was a French cartoon.

Uhm, cartoon? Animated series? Both? It's all a blurred line nowadays.
I saw The Secret of Kells it's really good.
I've also seen a bit of Wakfu seemed pretty cool. Hopefully I'll have time to watch the whole thing at some point.

I always loved this clip. Not sure how I found it, though.
