Love and sex..blah I'm a virgin I wouldn't know the first thing about sex, but I had alot of disappointment in love itself. People today are so afraid of feelings at the first sign you show them. I lost count how many times I've been rejected/friendzoned.

Looking at stuff like that in video games, and movies just irritates me now.

(yes I'm bitter about it).

I'm not a virgin, but can largely relate to this...

Going to assume you're a hetero male in a developed country, like myself (no I'm not Fuuka-san unfortunately) - if so, a few (I guess fairly hash) facts I've learnt over the years:

-> For, like, 90% of hetero males, sex/dating does not involve choices that you can make, and is more of a numbers game than anything else. This is because for whatever reasons (maybe it IS the patriarchy, idk), straight men are MUCH more likely to want to hook up with straight women than vice versa.

-> If you're into RMing/gaming/bla bla bla, you're gonna have a harder time - NOT because these things are seen as turn-offs, but because you're less likely to find women interested in all this stuff. Additionally, being such a well-defined nerd/geek/whatever, you're less likely to want to branch out of your comfort zone just to get laid. Again, numbers.

-> It helps if you're white. Like, really helps.

I guess what I'm trying to say is: Don't feel down about any of this, because some of the most seemingly eligible people in the world can't get laid for any number of reasons, both within and outside their control - or even no reason at all. All that you can really do is try to be as attractive as possible (remember, you need to offer something to the other person!), try not to have a hard and fast set of criteria and above all, just meet a lot of people - numbers numbers numbers.

(I hope no one thinks I'm being bitter, by the way - I don't think anyone reasonably sane can deduce from the above that straight women have it easier in life because more people of the opposite sex want to insert their penises in their vaginas.)

I think one game that did a sex scene rather well was Heavy Rain.It had an organic progression to that point in the story it wasn't just out of nowhere like in The Indigo Prophecy.Mass Effect 2 was good,also.As for bad examples there was a scene in Red Dead Redemption that didn't need to be in that game.

I tend to find sex scenes in movies kinda pointless. They don't advance the plot and plus I might be horny after but I'm not going to do anything about that because I'm in the middle of watching a movie. That's also why a lot of "fan service" (I hate that term) annoys me too. Also "fan service" feels like a crutch that people who can't entertain me with a good story use.
Don't get me wrong I like porn just as much as everyone else. But if I'm being presented a story I don't need it to break out into soft core porn.
I have the internet and it has EVERYTHING. I don't need "fan service".
All that being said if there is a very good reason to show said sex scene then by all means go for it. I'm sure there are some great sex scenes out there that actually do something for the story but I personally haven't seen one that seemed needed.

EDIT: Comical sex scenes are ussually good.
