POLICE SHOOTS MAN IN THE BACK
Posts
Why did that guy even run from his car after the initial traffic stop? I saw the dashboard cam video. I believe the cop had his license. What was he thinking?
Obviously that has no bearing on what happened, but I found that very strange.

The man had back child support and didn't want to go to jail. What he didn't realize though was that since his kids were all grown and emancipated, the warrant wasn't actionable (because of the lack of urgency, it becomes a collection warrant), though I'm sure that wouldn't have stopped this cop from arresting him. I don't know if you noticed from that video, but there was someone in the car with him that he was talking to.

I'm continually surprised that cops don't have more stringency regarding use of deadly force. I did security (basically, military police) work in the Navy, carried around a sidearm and an M-16 on watch, and if I shot anyone, I'd have to go to courts-martial to ascertain if my use of force was legitimate, if it it wasn't, I'd go to fucking jail.
Cops don't even get indicted for the same shit half the time.
A lot of army peeps spoke out about the whole Fergusson dealio, what with the police being more kitted out than some platoons. And not having the training or being held as accountable.
About the only thing that won't get you killed is doing actual crimes...

I guess I was thinking more like.. they already have his identification so if even if he did evade that cop there would be 3 more at his doorstep. As opposed to trying to flee before the cop pulls you over and finds out who you are. But, I've been arrested before so I know that it kinda fucks with your head to be in that situation.
I did notice someone in the passenger seat, ftr.
