Tetris have survived the test of time by using the same concept and controls and still be relevant today.

As a game it might make it's way onto the list even though there are better versions out there this is the one everybody knows and while you can make better games not everyone will play it. But as a concept that is otherwise known as Tetris it could be considered to be one of the best games thus far since no matter what form it takes it's still Tetris and yet at the same time it can evolve and become more than just a GameBoy game from 1990.

Yes Tetris owns. I don't think I need to elaborate any further because it's been done in the previous posts. There was also a documentary called "From Russian With Love: <something>" and this rocked! It discussed the history of Tetris behind the Iron Curtain and how there was so much battling done by both sides of the Curtain and stuff like that.
Does anything beat Tetris when it comes to puzzle games? No is probably the answer although Puzzle Fighter came mightly close.
