I was wondering does anyone here RP? or Role Play? I'm not talking about Dungeons and Dragons, but where you get on an actual forum such as this and just straight up text role play. This is one of my very internet love's and has almost beat RMN in the way to my heart and my life. Does anyone else here share the joy I share or am I alone in this empty technological world?

Also along with those things:
  • What do you usually RP?
  • What forums do you usually RP about?
My wife and I like to dress up in leather, wear masks.... oh. Oops, sorry. Wrong roleplay.
I used to do tons of RPing years ago in chat rooms and forums. It was of course mostly fantasy stuff because that's where the heart of most RPing lies! I haven't done it for years though. It probably did a lot of good for my technical writing ability!
I did--and still do--roleplay. I find it to be a great pass time, and a nice bit of fun to experience if you want to throw yourself into the depths of your own creative mind.

For me, I would rather forum-based RPing over chat-based. Why? Because I can type up a semi-long post, stick it up, and I can leave and go wherever I want as I wait for a response to be posted to my action. I don't have to sit and wait, praying that the other RPer has not given up interest. And your typing speed plays no role as well! You can be as slow as you want, just as long as it doesn't take a week or two to get a single post up!

I usually RP about different things. More often than none it is an RP spin-off of an Anime series, or even that based off of a video game franchise. But then comes the (rare) time where I actually come up with a decent story and setting, and I get an RP together using the stuff I come up with.

Yeah I know what you mean I usually go on Naruto RP Forums such as NND and such. But I don't like to do it over chat, forums have a more structered taste that I like.
Yeah i do tons of RP. A very big hobby of mine.

# What do you usually RP? Anything to do with Anime.
What forums do you usually RP about? I usually go on Anime forums and RP.
I used to RP on Gaia online :)

Actually, I still like roleplaying, but I prefer it with some graphics. No joke, but my favorite RP's, are those found on garry's mod. They are SWEET!
