When I press a button, I want a text dialogue to show me the result when you divide variable 1 by variable 2. How do I do that?

I also want the text to show me variable 1 minus variable 2, or a constant minus variable 2. Can someone help me?

Write \v[0000] in the text message.
Replace 0000 with the number of your variable.

Ah, that is to show the variables and the results of the operations in a message box.

In order to actually manipulate variables you need to use the "Control Variables" event command in the event editor (in VX Ace). You can select the variables and the desired operation there.
