Maybe people just don't have anything else to say? ???
Well, I wanted people to discuss, debate, share their own college insights and opinions, disagree, you know, talk about it. I mean, it's great hearing a bunch of "YOU'RE RIGHT FELD"s (seriously, it is), but we have enough college age people (like yourself for instance) that we can discuss and share our experiences and opinions. Even if it's not agreeing with me, I was expecting to have a debate/discussion with you a few posts back, for instance, until you didn't post anymore. :(

Here's my advice:
Accept that you don't know shit about shit.
Holy shit this. Intelligent people in particular have a hard time accepting this.
The best quote of advice ever:
Nobody knows nothing.
Which is what kentona said, but a famous guy said this one, so (like a director or something like that; i can't remember his name; my brain is FRIED from classes today). :o
Also, accept that the first semester of your freshman year is probably going to suck. Since, in most cases, you have absolutely no control over your scheduling and how every single university wants everyone to be a "well-rounded citizen," you'll have to take some BS courses that you may or may not be interested in. Plus, you'll have no knowledge of what times these classes are. It's this that's got me running halfway across campus with fifteen minutes to spare between classes, with six textbooks, three notebooks, a planner (not much weight xD), and a trombone. Ya rly.

Actually my first semester of college was the most liberating awesomefest ever. Mostly the unmitigated sex, but other cool stuff too.
Also please don't be socially awkward. Please please please. No matter how much you learn or get done, please don't be socially awkward.
Because not only are humans naturally social creatures (which is another discussion), but as you get older, there's really only gain from being able to relate to people, have discussions with a wide range of people, developing positive emotional interdependence, being a well rounded person, and so on. Not only that, but it's healthier for things such as stress reduction; studies have shown that people with better and more developed social lives have much, much less stress than those that don't. It's been proven in quite a few studies that its good for your health.
I mean some people place such a high premium on getting things done and having all of these academic and career accomplishments under their belt, and that's all fine and good, but sometimes its to such an extreme they come out of it being a robot, and being so far removed socially from other human beings, not only will this hurt them immensely in their personal lives as they get older, but it also hurts them professionally as well.
(I can further elaborate if this answer wasn't satisfactory. This is great discussion, so please humor me.)
