Just because you see it doesn't mean others will. Once you submit, it goes into a queue. The staff will check it out and if it meets all the rules and requirements it'll be accepted. If not, it'll be denied (note that you will receive a note about what needs work in the case of being denied, and that you can resubmit once those issues are fixed.)

Only after being accepted will it become visible to the public, but even then it might not be on the front page. New and Notable is a section for games of high quality that are new. It will appear on front page under the download section once a download is added, but the rest of the headers have set requirements for a game showing up there.

Anyway, it can take up to a week for a game to go through the queue, though lately it's been only a few days, depending, so just sit tight for a little while and be patient and it'll either go through just fine or you'll get a notice letting you know what needs editing.
