feldschlacht IV your right bro, it's just another concept 4 a game, and I over reacted, to the dude that mad ethis I am sorry!
Making a "Jesus Game" would be kinda... foolish.

First off you'll be isolating the game to christian audiences. (Which probably don't want the lord Jesus Christ kicking bad guy butt in the first place... though you have to admit it'll be funny as hell to see Jesus using "Turn the other cheek" infinitely)

http://www.newgrounds.com/portal/view/377178 <-- Something like that

Secondly... just no. It will probably be successful and even on fox news (cough) Columbine Fangame (cough) but other than that.. no.

If I went through with this game I would have to tread very carefully. Very carefully indeed, agreed. Has anyone here seen the movie Dogma, by Kevin Smith? I thought that film was brilliant, and lots of people I know who are religious love it too because they take it with a pinch of salt.

When it comes to survival games, we've fought off zombies, mutants and aliens. An army from God? That's a challenge we haven't quite had yet. There are tons of games where we get to go head to head with Death, ut what about Famine, War and Conquest?

It can go two ways, I can go for survival horror as one of the last atheists on Earth facing judgement, or I can go the Dogma way and portray Jesus as a short black man with dreadlocks, the four horsemen trading in their horses for horsepower (cars if you didn't get it) etc. Obviously the latter would require people to take it less seriously and I'd have to just say "If you're Christian, and you're easily offended/ can't take a joke or two, do not play this game."

I wear my (non)religion on my sleeve.

I still say you can go for this idea - christianity is filled with stories that humans have been telling each other for millenia, just waiting to be exploited. I'd also make Jesus know Kung Fu.
I think it should be subtle. Change names and make it so unobservant people won't even notice.
Also, nothing is sacred, so people should be less sensitive.
