The game in my life I got the most scared by would probably be Silent Hill. I guess part of it was probably because I was 11 at the time I played it on my old Playstation. It's still a great game though, and at the time it was really groundbreaking. It's weird to think that it's been 16 years since it was released.

I wouldn't consider The Longing Ribbon 'disturbing' by any stretch, but the atmosphere that game manages to create using mostly RTP assets is astonishing. It's really a must play if you like horror, in my opinion. (Just use the cheat codes. Trust me.)

I wouldn't say that the whole game was scary because it's not designed to be, but playing through the Ocean House Hotel level of Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines for the first time is easily the most scared I've been whilst playing a game.
