LOW PUBLIC INTEREST. QUIT OR CARRYON

author=SaitenHazardDepends on if you like working on it, keep in mind a lot of nancy's here are obsessed with first-look appeal more than the game itself, and this is an understandable stance to take since there are so many games up here, even though I'm still in the top 200 on Desura with M:R it's failed to attract much attention here, purely and simply because it doesn't have that first look 'oh hell yes' factor.
A game that has been up for a while has not had much interest from the community. Should I give up on it or carry on believing in it.
Testers have told me its 'fun' but it is failing at attracted players.
One thing I've learned from Past experience is to definitely release a demo if you're interested in players liking your game, too.
Firstly because it's less time you've spent developing for if people don't like it. Secondly it's more ideal way to gauge what players like about the game.
But like IF said, just give it some time. And advertising yourself out like a whore is more or less mandatory, you'll feel filthy because of it, believe me i know. D:
I made a blog post somewhat in the interests of the marketing thing.
