Agreed. Ever since I played Final Fantasy IV for DS, all I wanted was for FFV and FFVI to take that step. They never did.

Final Fantasy VII was already in the 3D realm, but I'm not sure how I'd feel about sending the SNES era in this supposed direction. I want something that still relates to the graphical style of old-school Final Fantasy.
I'm not appaled by the thought, just a bit sceptical.
FF6 is my favorite game in the series, so this is great news!

Right now, I'm awaiting FF15, and I don't care if people say it'll be bad or stuff like that, I'm still gonna play it, because, you know, Final Fantasy. And they've had all these years to work on it, they should've perfected it in that time.

Hopefully, if there is a FF16 game, it takes on an actual fantasy setting rather than the hi-tech ones we've seen for a while. Even something like FF12 would be fine.
I'd be all for an FF6 remake. It's such a wonderful game and, in my opinion, is the best in the series by a significant margin over FF9. A lot of people I know who are younger than me won't give FF6 the time of day because it "looks ugly" to them. This sort of opinion frustrates me, but I can relate to it since I can't get into any games that predate the NES due to their graphics.

A remake of FF6 would allow pickier younger gamers who are all hung up on graphics to finally be able to appreciate the game. I would just hope that the team would do FF6's graphics justice and not half ass any of it. The game has some really crazy looking places such as the Floating Continent, Kefka's Tower, Cyan's Dream World, etc.

I'd also nickel and dime like crazy if a remake was ever announced for a PS4 so that I could buy the console just to play the game (though being able to play the FF7 remake wouldn't be a bad thing either).
My body is ready for FF6 in 3d.

Tbh, I could take or leave FF5. Probably won't buy the remake, unless I play the PS version again and somehow fall in love with it, which is certainly possible. lol The last time I played the game, I was a teenager. I'm grown now, so maybe I'd see something in it I didn't before.
Yeah, the fantastic gameplay! Easily one of the best titles in the series. Give it another shot.
