JUST WATCHED AVENGERS: AGE OF ULTRON AND IT WAS JUST OKAY
Posts
I was too busy watching Care Bears, Inspector Gadget, GI Joe, and Transformers.

anywho, I enjoyed the movie for what it was - a summer blockbuster superhero movie. The fight scene between the Hulk and the Hulkbuster suit was fun to watch, and there were some good one liners. Hawkeye got some good development, and Black Widow and Bruce Banner got some more characterization. But for being so central to the plot, Tony Stark's motivations were rather hollow.
Some questions, though:
-what WAS Ultron anyway? They spoke of it as an AI trapped inside of the casing that held the Mind gem. But what was he?? Failing to satisfactorily answer that undercut the whole movie, imho
-how did The Vision just materialize a suit and cape anyway? How is he flying?
-what happened to the giant core of the collapsing floating city? also, exploding it into millions of smaller pieces would lessen its destructive forces, but still there would have been terrible fallout. That city would have been obliterated regardless.
-why didn't we get to see what set the Hulk off in Africa?
-at the end of Winter Soldier, there were large divisions and everyone was questioning their roles and motivations, but at the start of Avengers 2 it's like "okay, we're a team again lol!"
-also, most importantly:
They never tell you the AGE of Ultron! How old was he?!
(hyuk hyuk)

this review articulated my feelings on it better than I ever could.

I would say those are fair criticisms. I did feel the first was better.
From what a know of the comics, Ultron is some kinda of AI that constantly tricks people into rebuilding it.
Now, was for Mad Max: Fury Road - go see that, man. I will carry you into the gates of valhalla myself.

You know, finding s reasonably priced babysitter is not a difficult thing. We've got two that seem totes legit.
I felt that Avengers 2 was just a fanboy-present to the fans of the comics.
I didn't get anything in the movie more than half the time.
Vision appearing out of nowhere.
Iron Man blowing up all his suits in Iron Man 3 and still getting a new one.
(yea Iron Man really lost coolness once he had so many suits in Iron Man 3 and he just started treating them all as expendable)
And I think my biggest quip was
Captain America being OP now
Back then he was just like a super buff guy that used an indestructible shield, fought enemies with tactics and smarts that you don't see from Iron Man or the Hulk with their super punches and laser beams.
In Winter Soldier he still had to defend from bullets with his shield.
In Avengers 2 he dropped his shield and took an Ultron laser to the chest and brushed it off like it was nothing, and punched Ultron bots into bits in one hit.
Also if the mini-bots are just Ultron's consciousness copied into all the bots why would they freak out and run away while he didn't.
I have so many gripes over this movie cos' I looked forward to it so much.
Hawkeye was the best part of the movie being the 'most powerless' one but kicked the asses of enemies that kicked everyone else's ass.
