GREETINGS!

Hello everyone! I'm an RPG veteran, but haven't been in the game creation community in, oh, about 10 years. I'm old. My experience is riddled with vague memories of playing the elder RM games like Blurred Line, Legion Saga, and Chimera Report (I even got to play about half of Fates of Alerha by Inoran back then, if anyone remembers that :P. We attended the same high school) on the old GW website.
I recently found RPG Tsukuru 2003 (I noticed that it was no longer 2k3) on an old laptop, and decided to see if things were still going strong in the RM world; I was not disappointed! I'm elated that this community (hasn't murdered each other) is still going strong, and look forward to learning how to properly create a fun game, and play all of your games, too!
So, without any further platitudes, I've decided to create a (rough draft of a...) game in RPG Tsukuru 2003, so you may find my weak points. Then, I'll endeavor to purchase the proper commercial software, and create something actually worth playing.
Most importantly, I hope you all have an amazing day! See you around.

I was forged in the fires of GW and emerged to take over leadership here. Welcome back.
You could always purchase RPG Maker 2003 now, properly, and make a game from that.

Thanks for the welcome. From the looks of your admirable score, your conviction has been bountiful! I'd really like to crank out a short game to find what people like and what people don't like, as well as my weaknesses, before I pay for software. However, RPG Maker 2003 is the engine I'm most familiar with, so I will most likely do exactly what you recommended and purchase that. VX is, currently, aesthetically unappealing to me, anyways.
