THE FORUMS SUCK.

I wanted to see something going wrong, uhhhh... you get hit by a virus and its all deleted and somehow it reaches your backups? On second though, ignore previous statements and makeshure it all works without screwing up.

Yes. Currently with RMNv2, the main site and the forums are two completely different systems that can talk to each other. With RMN3, the forums are integrated directly into the site and coded by myself. The current forums are SMF and made in PHP.

By the talk to each other, I take it you mean that they simpley share the same SQL Database for userdata. Beyond actually putting it into the sites design, what else would you possibly be planning to do to put them together better?

Anyway, about how far are you exactly into making the new forums?

They use the same database and session data.

As for the new forum, you can use it pretty much exactly like the this one.
