CloseI'm sure alot of you have seen or read about the new psp's that are coming out in a few months. The new psp 3000 is the third generation playstation portable and it looks to be much better than its previous installments.
The new psp 3000's will come in many different color schemes...if you live in Japan. Unfortunately, living in the US means we'll only have the black psp's available for now. That or you can get the mystic silver in a bundle or a blue in another bundle. In Europe you'll see 8 different bundles.
In comparison to the PSP-2000, the PSP-3000 has an improved LCD screen with an increased colour range, five times the contrast ratio, half the pixel response time to reduce ghosting and blurring effects, and antireflective technology to improve the PSP's outdoor playability. The screen draws more current than the screen for the PSP-2000, reducing the console's battery life by "about 20 minutes" according to SCEA director of hardware marketing John Koller.

I think I'll get one of these. I've been meaning to get a PSP for a bit now. I've seen a few comparison shots and the new LCD looks MUCH better. I had a serious problem with the old PSP's LCD ghosting.

I already have a DS so I can't rationalize buying a PSP aswell, but this would be really cool to have.

In order to get full enjoyment out of your PSP....
1. Buy PSP
2. Hack PSP
3. Buy a large memory stick
4. Enjoy a plethora of NES, SNES, Genesis, MAME, PS1, and homebrew games
But yeah, the new version will be the best. If you haven't got one already, pick this up when it comes out. This new one is going to come packaged with a 4GB memory stick, which is all you need. IMO, the PSP is the best portable handheld that's ever existed.
And it isn't region locked.
