DESIGN A MEGAMAN ROBOT MASTER!
Posts
If we get 8 well designed robots, I will start making a Mega Man game.
ika, of course.

I've never really looked into ika, is it similar to Sphere or Game Maker?
WIP is the master of Ika so you can expect a good game coming.

That's good to know, but it doesn't exactly answer my question.
Also, I'm going to post a Robot Master soon.

Well, here's your ice-type robot master!
SHIVER MAN
Elemental Attribute: Ice
Location: Great Glacier (basically a giant glacier)
Boss Room: A large igloo-type building made of either blue stones or ice.
Physical Description: The spikes on his head, shoulders and feet are actually icicles that stay eternally frozen with the help of the cooling system installed in his body. He also wear a purple cloth, which makes it seem as if he is wearing a scarf.
Attacks:
Icicle Shot - Launches the pointed icicle from his arm. Upon impact angainst any surface, the icicle splits into four smaller ones that fly in diagonal directions
Icy Dash - Slides toward megaman with the help of his icy feet. He holds the ice spike on his right arm out straight like a spear when doing so.
Ice Spike Attack - Whilst jumping around, Shiver Man will swing his large icicle on his right arm like a sword. even though this does little damage due to the cone-like shape of the icicle, it will freeze Mega Man on impact.
Mohawk Icicles - That's right. Jumping straight up into the air, Shiver Man will swing his head downward to launch the three icicles on his forehead at Mega Man. They travel diagonally, each at a slightly different angle.
Weakness:
Fire-type, more than likely (So...Lava Man?)
I also have another version where he doesn't have the icicle mohawk, but I liked this one better. I also suck at drawing the face graphic, if you decide to use this one for the game, then feel free to sprite a better looking one; just make sure he's got the vertical holes where his mouth should be.
That's actually a very cool robot.

Thanks! I was hoping you would like it! I'm going to work on some sprite sheets for Shiver Man (Like his poses and attacks), But I'm not going to do anymore Robot Master sheets, except for maybe just the one sprite, until I know this game is actually going to happen. Also, does Blizten have to look at it for it to be approved for the game?
@WIP
P.S. - Want me to make more?... ;D
Edit: Look! I did some concept art!

Sorry I double posted, I just wanted this topic to syay near the top. Most of you have probably guessed that I'm a big Megaman fan, which I am; I just really want this game to happen and I'm willing to create more robot masters and sprites sheets for them. Besides doing Shiver Man's was fun!

So which 8 robot masters are currently in the running for the game?
Blitzen's only accepted three of them, he hasn't looked at mine yet, so we need to get at least 4 more.
I spoke with Blitzen on IRC. He liked Shiver Man. He said the sprite was unpolished, but that can be fixed.
I am going to start making a Mega Man engine when I have free time.

Shiver Man is a decent design and I think it will be fine in the game. I'll take a whack at buffing up the sprites or portrait later on.

Yeah, I suck at doing the portraits and, I'm not criticizing you, but what exactly is "unpolished" about the in-game sprite? To be honest I thought I did a pretty good job.
Well I think it uses too many colors to be an NES robot master.

I will agree with you there, but while I was spriting it, I felt it looked too dull with only a small amount of shades of color (what I mean is I used two shades of blue because I though only 1 looked bad). However I guess you have to take into consideration which game we're modeling it after:
If it was like MM1 or MM2, then the colors could stand to be dulled down a bit. But I personally was shooting for the best looking one in the NES series, MM6, and I mean the talent behind the spriting that Capcom did for them. The enemies moved more fluently and had more sprites overall.
You look at a Quick Man sprite sheet and I'm sure you'll find only 3 or 4 seperate sprites.
EDIT: Disregard what I said about giving me the sprite. Please, edit it if you'd like.
