You've irked the #1 DQ fan now Addit.
Ephiam?
Anywho, I may have misuderstood Addit. I consider "Erdrick" the main character of Dragon Quest as he is the only named hero in the first trilogy. The hero of the first Dragon Quest is Erdrick's descendant, and the heroes of Dragon Quest II are the descendants of that guy. Erdrick (aka Loto) is the hero of Dragon Quest III, which was a prequel to I and II. In retrospect, Addit was probably referring to the hero of Dragon Quest I.

Man, I totally wish Squareenix would do a follow-up to that trilogy. The whole thing felt too short-lived.
I'm all for it, or any character really. I just don't care to complain about stuff anymore. I'll buy him and play him a bit, like I did with Ryu, but Mega Man will always be my main.
My bro will be maining him because he likes Ike and Cloud is basically Ike with a charge attack move whch my bro also digs so he's like, poppin' a thing.
Personally, I don't play Smash, though that's not anything to do with Nintendo, I just don't play fighting games in general.
I get too salt, controllers are broken, houses are set alight, cities burn.

Yeah, that’s what I meant to say.
To be fair, I’ve only played one Dragon Quest game thus far and that was the very first one on the NES. It was actually my very first RPG back then when I was a kid before I played and discovered Final Fantasy I. I don’t know too much about the whole backstory and lore behind the Dragon Quest games as a whole and all, but, yeah, the hero from Dragon Quest would be an awesome addition.

- You’re supposed to have fun, damn it! FUNNNNN!!!

And I don't even know what that's supposed to mean!
Unfortunately, from what I've seen, Smash likes to keep within a specific game in a series, with both the antagonist and protagonist involved first. Since they've introduced Cloud, it's very likely the next addition (if any, see from the Sonic series that I'm still waiting for Robotnik to appear in Smash) would be Sephiroth.
As the fan girls go nuts.

If Sephiroth ever got in he’d be like Shulk 3.0 with that giant, long ass sword of his. How the hell am I supposed to approach somebody like that with using somebody like Donkey Kong?
I was happy, just because it felt like Final Fantasy was coming home to Nintendo, after all these years.
Cloud didn't defect to Sony. He just got lost along the way to Nintendo.

author=Cecil_BeoulveReally? That just seems to be from their core games.
Where are the villains from F-Zero, Donkey Kong and Fire Emblem, etc then?
They are not even bringing Ridley from Metroid as a playable character and hiding the reasons behind stupid excuses.
Probably either the 3DS wasn't up to the task so everyone had to suffer, or they needed even more obscure Kid Icarus characters.
I downloaded him today. He's really fun, especially as a huge FF7 fan. The Midgar level is sweet too. I personally wish it came with more than two music tracks, but overall I can't complain. I'm really glad they used so many of the original sound effects from the game. I'm very happy with his inclusion and with his character.
I haven't used him online yet (I actually suck with him so far), but I did a bunch of matches with CPUs and had a blast.
Did anyone catch the final stream today? I watched it. I'm a little confused that they added yet another Fire Emblem character over someone from a different franchise (no Inkling?) but Bayonetta is definitely a surprising and welcome newcomer. She likes like a lot of fun. I haven't played her games yet, though.

But seriously, this guy has a chainsaw sword and he turns into a Pokemon? Has Fire Emblem always been this weird?
I've played a small amount of Bayonetta, and it seems they did get her style pretty accurate. However, I noticed she doesn't get quite as nekkid when doing Weave attacks. I guess somebody thought of the children lol
But really the music is the best part of her getting in!
Gotta say, though, they really went all out with all this DLC. I'm impressed. It's gonna take a while for me catch up on it all, though. Even ignoring the Mii outfits, it ain't cheap! o.o
Seems silly to include a sixth Fire Emblem character (making it the second most represented series behind Mario) but hey, what do I know, I don't play stupid softcore hentai dating sim SRPGs.
Would've made more sense to put the Inkling in there, considering how much of a breakout hit Splatoon was. Oh well. Another half copycat sword boy joins the cast.

I actually thought he was from Xenoblade at first. I haven't played the Fire Emblem games, though I plan to someday.
Wow, a bit nostalgic to think this is the final Smash news we'll get for this entry. Ultimately I'm pretty satisfied with most of the DLCs, though yeah... kinda surprised at yet ANOTHER Fire Emblem inclusion.
Also, such a cruel fakeout with that Geno Mii costume.. ;____;

nomura-style mario is adorable
also I played a little of Cloud! he's fun. the limit break thing is tough to get a hang of because I use B-moves whenever it seems like there's an opening, so I just waste it on a Blade Beam or something like that? but hey

Hey man, he's got that one move where it's a lance instead! Totally different!
Really, though, other than the counter move and the one smash with the tipper, he doesn't seem like he plays too similarly to Marth and friends.
But, is it just be, or does the male model for Corrin have weirdly sexy hips and thighs? It looks like he has the same lower body as the girl model. o_O
He seems to have them in the promo art, too. Maybe I've just gotten use to anime boys being sticks from the waist down...
