HEROES!

Am I the only one who is totally geeking out that Heroes is back tomorrow?
Seriously, this is the reason I pay for cable. We got an hour clip show and a two hour season premier!
Any other Heroes junkies on this site?

You could Roseanne through those plot holes, dude.
Who cares about plot holes? I'm happy if I get to see Hiro and Ando running around getting into shenanigans and stopping everyone else from being douches and Mr. Bennet kicking the ass of everything with super powers like he's the goddamned Batman in horn-rimmed glasses.
Also: Electric Veronica Mars.

You know what the most stupidest part of Heroes is though.. The Company. Yes The Company are supposed to be this evil genius doing things behind everyones back type of thing but they are like the dumbest organization.
Hey lets put the most powerful guy in the show next to the super 300 year old guy bent on world destruction or whatever with a vent so they can talk with one another. Still an ok show to watch though.

I really didn't like Hiro during the first season of the show but have come to like him as the show has progressed. Hopefully we don't get another writers strike because that really stuffed up the show.
I'll agree there are some plot holes. Like how Hero communicated to Ando 300 years ago through scrolls in the sword? Weak.
Not a super hero fan either. Never got into X-men or anything like that.
I'm still not sure why, but I frickin dig this show.

I'm not saying it's not entertaining. I am saying that the plot coherency is about as bad as Superman, and that's saying something. But I suppose it makes sense because comic book Marvel/DC comic writers are the most awful kind of writer, and some of them were supposedly responsible for this show.
Having said that, I don't blame you or anyone else that enjoys watching the show, since I guess it is fun, in a campy sort of way. I just expect...a bit more effort, I guess.
You really think there's that many plot holes? Sure, they are there. But still, the way that the characters are connected and the sequence of events, I believe, are very well thought out.
The fact that Linderman and other historians had this sword in museums and that they carried the damn thing through half of season one and never noticed the inscription "Ando open" on the handle?
Maybe not a plot hole, but still weak. And a little unnessesary.

Comic book writers have it kind of rough, so I'm not sure that is fair. One, they're writing for an audience that is mostly composed of young males, so they they're not exactly aiming for The Count of Monte Cristo audience. Plus, most of the popular comic books originated thirty years ago, so you have to deal with tons of terrible filler issues and canon and retcons and all the other BS that preceded you. The writers rotate in and out on a regular basis, so it's hard to stay consistent. What one guy thinks is writing gold is awful to the next guy. You're not really in control of where you want the story to go, you don't own the characters, and you don't have as much say as a traditional writer does in what goes down in the end.
Plus, it is a business model that depends on popular characters, so unlike a one shot novel or a trilogy, yes, they have to keep bringing Jean Grey back for the dead to rake in some cash.
I would argue it's easier to write a novel, plop it out and be done with it than try to keep a story going for decades, especially when it's not your story. Is the medium itself prone to terrible writing? Yeah. Are the writers themselves bad? Probably not.
Heroes (and any serialized drama, like 24) are burdened by the same rules.
I just want to let everyone know I take back anything nice I said about comic book writers. Wow. I wasn't expecting this kind of lameness until, like, season six or something.
Yeah, i quite liked this episode. It's good to see Heroes hasn't lost my interest like most other shows have. Lost
The "this season..." preview at the very end suggested there will be some plot twists that are sort of stupid, but these episodes were definitely entertaining. But not enough Mr. Bennet.
Might be a little harsh! It has to be hookey. Comes with the territory. But man! That left me feeling amped! Woo!
I think this is gonna be much better than season two! (which we all know was ruined because of the writer strike, though I still liked it)
