WHERE THE MAGIC HAPPENS (DESK THREAD)
Posts
on a lark, I thought it'd be fun to post some pics of my desk area. You can see what a cramped cluttered mess it is. Yes, those aren't even widescreen monitors.

My brother carved a Stormtrooper stamp and made me some art out of it for my birthday once (upper left). And no Canadian desk is complete without a Tim Hortons mug.

You can see a small selection of all of my wife's books next to my desk. This is all in the basement spare bedroom which we use as an office. The extra chair is for my kids to watch Youtube videos.

We bought the desk used. It's not really a good computer desk, as there is no place to put a computer, so it is under where my feet would go. There's my subwoofer and a ton of old PC games. That's an old Transformer toy there that my 3yo was playing with. Kids also put stickers on it some time ago.

Here are my new(er) games (which gives you an idea of what age my OLD games are, if these are the new ones!). Yes, that is the charging cradle for the Wii U. And yes, that is an Alena pip coaster that Hexatona made for me for a birthday.
Got any pics of your workspace?

This is my workspace at the moment. I actually lucked out and got this desk when I moved into the apartment- I hate computer desks, and this one has tons of legroom, desk space and it's really sturdy to boot. I'm totally gonna try and take it when I leave.

This is my Luigi collection, which is obviously really fucking important.

I have a photo collage of Freya up on the wall, which helps stabilize my mood a bit. I considered putting other furries in there too, or maybe just good video game art in general, but Freya won out. Up top I have some figurines that I've collected over the years, including Toad, Business Kitty/Lord Business, the cast of Spongebob, that weird thing from Star Wars, and the locking pin of a drill press that I stole from my highschool years ago.

I also have this photo of her on my desk. Yes, I have (including the desktop wallpaper and phone background for the time being) 12 pictures of Freya within 3 feet of my body nearly all the time. Whoops.

This is my PC, the TRZ-Airmaster, with its glorious cheese stickers and Captain Underpants/ESO mashup.

And of course, can't forget my name branded stein. Gotta get that fucking water. Copious amounts of water. Even though it's a beer stein I don't like to drink beer out of it, since it holds two cans at a time and I'm basically on the tipping point of being an alcoholic, so I need to pace myself better than that when drinking. Plus, it gets dirty enough as is. Beer would only complicate the matter.
In the background you can see my five hats, four of which I barely ever wear.

I live with a roommate (the decor is theirs) and am banished to what was once a desk for sewing.

Usually I try to keep things a LITTLE less cluttered, but I took this after eating food ah-hahahaha
And even when I have things clean there's still 10000 books I am reading that are always on the desk. I lead a simple life. OTL

Kentona, begging your pardon, but you clearly have never seen a mess. I'M a mess.
EDIT: And this is cleaned up for the picture.

On my desk is a sandwich. On my sandwich is a fork. On my fork is a hand. On my hand is an arm. On my arm is a torso. On my torso is a neck. On my neck is a head. On my head is a mouth. On my mouth is a sandwich.

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Kentona, is that a giant Spiderman pez dispensor that spits out pez candies the size of your thumb? That's what it looks like. Anyway if you're gonna have two monitors side by side, fullscreen is definitely the way to go. Widescreen dual display doesn't make a lot of sense unless you're stacking them on top of each-other.
My desk is boring and covered in things that I forgot were there. Where did this spare graphics card come from? Since when do I own a box of checks? What's with all these random papers? Are these my 2014 taxes? Wait, no, 2013? Is there anything behind this jumble of random unused cables? Why did I keep the boxes for these DS games? What's on all these dozens of unlabelled DVD-Rs? Why are there so many laptop hard drives just lying here, where did they come from, I've never even owned a laptop...
I'm not a hoarder, I just use my random shelf space as a filing system.

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

A good capuccino makes everything better. Even a desk thrown in disarray.
It may not seem very disorganized, but that's because you can't see behind the laptop.
We should now impose the rule that the computer screen in each phtograph from now on must show an earlier post in this thread, also containing a photograph with a computer screen showing an earlier post in this thread, until reaching kentona's photograph.

We were having a fine, fedora-less thread until this came along. You've doomed us all.

Yes, it is a giant Spiderman Pez dispenser. It dispenses entire Pez packages, though. So when your regular sized Pez dispensers need more pez, you go to Spidey to get another package.
I'd share my desk, but it's really uninspired with anime dvd's medication and sweet wrappers all over the shop.

I don't even use the lamp that's sitting in the corner of my desk.
I never use my lamp to the left of my desk or on my desk either. And that grey/orange thing in the back right corner actually projects a clock onto the wall, but I never use that either.
In fact, maybe I should get rid of all the stuff on my desk I never use. It's starting to become quite the mess.

I've got a lappy, so my desk is anywhere!
But normally I have my workspace here:
Bookcase detail to show off how nerdy I am:
However, since Uni's been ill, I've moved here to help take care of her:
It looks less terrible because I haven't spent enough time there to amass as much clutter and trash :V
However, I am working on an ultimate awesome work area!
Window seat! Cabinets to hold things! Wooooo!

What's the phone background (assuming, of course, it's not something naughty, because you totally seem like the kind who would have a shrine to her in your closet tbh).
