Couldn't do anything today due to my computer playing up. I've had to go to the library just to get onto the internet.

Hero's Realm:
- Mapped and populated Tortuga (village)
- Added Worldmap system
- Added Day-Night item (that toggles Day and Night!)
- Added Compass item
- Mapped the Ghost Ship and the ability to enter the Ghost Ship (it sails around the seas - you have to find it (get the compass!))
- Mapped Tritonis and the undersea caverns
- Mapped Hinterland Hut (compass 'tis here!)
- Mapped Ethereal Tower
- Mapped Okasa under seige
- Mapped the Okasa Crypt

Today i have done a few things,
-Finished the new title screen of the game.
-Added in the clock system to the main menu.
-Redid some maps in the first dungeon.

I can't make things like houses and trees until I know the scale of the character sets. So, all I did was try to make a cutscene with my new tablet this weekend. It didn't work out as well as I had planned, though.

I've updated the website with a screenshot image gallery, guestbook and help center, and removed the forum link (it was only used for a brief period when I was doing some beta-testing). I've also added links to reviews and awards for Hero's Realm.

Now that finals are over and I am having the exciting experience of living in a hotel I can try to get back to this!
Today'sand some of yesterday's Progress
- Blatantly stole an attack from another game, adapted it to an RPG, and dealt with the ensuing bugs (although all of them were because my post-battle commands are all over the place and I had to clean them up). It removes an ally at random from battle, unresistable (but it can miss), and usable once per battle (otherwise it'd be pretty broken). It forces the player to fight a battle with only two instead of three characters (the missing character comes back after battle) and I'm thinking of adding that enemy to the boss fight of that area just to be a jerk ass.
- Made an attack that "seals" the players inventory (it removes all healing items and scrolls from the player inventory then it readds them after battle) which I'm planning to use as another boss' gimmick. Of course since Rm2k(3) has about as much power as a dead duck it took much much longer than if I was using anything with some teeth, likeRuby any programming language ever.
- Made a few more enemy attacks and AI but none of them are as interesting.
- A RMVX DBS script can now properly erase and redraw the skill/inventory when selecting an item since the window was in the way of something else. Also now targetted enemies glow so you know who you're targetting. Actors don't since I haven't rewritten the window that selects them though, but I'll save that for later
- RGSS freaks out if you alias an inherited (but not overridden) method and push F12 then try and invoke the method again. It was aliasing itself so when I'd try to call the original method I'd get the new overriden method which can cause a bit of a recursion problem but only if I restarted the game with F12. Took
time to find out.

Today's Progress
- Tested DK and Embargo, fixed bugs like Eject not ending after battle which causes the characters to get re-ejected in the next fight as soon as the system pulls its head out of its ass
- Whipped up a battle restart script for RMVX so that if the party dies they get an option to restart the battle in the same state when it started including party status, inventory, and game switches and variables. Largely untested so I'm sure half of it doesn't work, half of it raises exceptions, and half of it works until you look at it closely
- Discovered that making a class member public and trying to assign a value to it when there's a method that overrides the member name makes Ruby act unpredictably. I don't know how .member suddenly started returning fixnums because nothing returns fucking fixnums and argh. So now I had to create an operator method to fix that which is about 8 lines of code more than what the proper solution should be. Thanks Enterbrain
