I actually got something done for once! I found a great charaset to use, and edited it to fit my characters. It looks a lot better than any of the ones I used before (RMVX RTP, Character Maker XP, and one I made myself), and came from the great game of Dragoon Legends (whose makers I shall credit accordingly).
I just finished all the eventing for my latest "dungeon" as well as writing all the dialogue, databasing, and testing/balancing for my latest boss and eventing the before and after scenes that usually come with bosses. I'm very pleased because I expected this guy to be a very simple charecter who is only there for the sake of being an early boss, but I was able to flesh out his charecter and actually make him add to the main internal struggle the charecters face, but I'm mostly happy because now I am VERY close to completeing the demo. Tomarrow, Thursday, or Friday I will have it done
Reworked a few maps and am now working on creating a chamber. This will be the final dungeon before i attempt to release a demo. Probably do some more when i get home tonight.
Tuesday was a little weaker, but I did still make a little progress. I tried something out for a map (and it didn't work too well).
Didn't have much time today so all i have done is,

-Rework a couple of sprites and made them look better.
-Started to add in a tutorial for the new battle system and am still working on it.

Almost finished eventing the final maps in my demo

this thing will be out either today, or very soon after midnight
Wednesday was a little better than Tuesday, as I tried something different with the map (again), and liked how it looks. It also took less time than I expected.
Today so far i have,

-Tried to find a good slime character set. Took me ages.
-Began adding in the sewer boss which will take me ages as well.

Well I took the time to remodel the title screen a little bit.



Taking the time to get rid of the Bleach Logo, also the Ace of Spades and all the suits of cards will have a predominant role in the game.
Thursday was a great day. For I finished coloring in the map that I made Wednesday! I just need to place houses and trees and the like on the map, and then place events and characters.
I completed the demo

Now I'm just play testing and debugging the game so it'll be all nice and error free before release

lots of head slapping moments in this phase of game making

the demo is looking to be about 2-3 hours long (and that's with me basically doing speed runs through sections I have tested before)

Those of you who have been stoking the fire of this topic, please consider the following: make each of your substantial posts a blog post on your game, and then post a link to the blog here. Essentially, this sounds tedious, but will help you transition into what this topic is going to become. Basically, this topic is fulfilling the function the game blogs were supposed to fill.

you can't play it until its approved, and even then I may have messed up somehow, its hard for me to test the compressed game file myself of course

Well, I just finished and released One Night, but I have my main project too.

I'll work on it every day between 4pm and 5. That should be enough to get... eh... one map done...
