How do i regain my Game making drive? :(
I never feel like working on my project anymore
Play some games. Get some inspiration.
It may help to remember the attachment or whatever feeling you got after you finished your favourite game's ending; and then imagine your own game's ending, and think of how you want to be able to get there to deliver that same effect.
okay my time will be
4:00 PM on weekdays
;D cool this will make it much easier to work on my game

Lol that's kind of hard because all of my favorite games are not made on RM ;)
Dammit! I made the coolest map in FE the other night, only I was so tired I accidentally clicked "don't save" as I exited out of photoshop. There was blood and people getting crucified and a Twin Peaks reference and everything. Ah well.

I'm thinking about changing the name, too. Any ideas?

Who said they had to be RM games?

The blog is updated

I'm also thinking of picking this drive up again, though I'd need to withdraw from the timeframe I've signed up for before and change it just to daily progress, allowing me to stay more creative. It's not like I'm currently out of motivation and I'd need to force myself working the game, so I don't think I'll need a specific time arranged for it.

What comes to latest progress, I've been writing dialogue and brainstorming scenes. Eh.
Made a new dungeon with boss today. The huge city is finally done. Hopefully I can release a new demo by 2013.

I'm excited but my stomach hurts too.
Kicked myself in the ass to working much harder & longer then the past other days. Trying to finish off 4P Buildings, then play test it, then begin working on the board for 3P & 4P. Getting closer, but still have some serious cracking down to do.

Yesterday I worked on this for 4 hours! I'm hoping for the same today.
Good work Nessiah! That sounds like plenty to me! :)
Thursday totally sucked. But I at least got to see Nessiah update. And that "not a lot" because of school is more than I've done on any day since September 22nd.

Basically down to bonus areas, a bonus feature and the final cave/area (+ final bosses) left to do!
Instead of doing smart stuff (studying for quiz that I know little about in four hours) I decided to try and get back into doing this!

Someone (I think BrandonAbley) talked about determining the random contents of chests well before the player opens them. I thought this was an awesome idea so I put it in. Also had another battle with RM2k3 that I lost >:( (and wasted half an hour trying to do something RM2k3 couldn't do)

*edit*
While I was at it I decided to also make some chests look at the players inventory and give them stuff if the game saw they were missing something. Like healing items. Not done this yet though, I'm probably going to redo all my chests at this point.

That's... a really good idea.

Yes, I mentioned this to Craze about Demon Tower I think. It's a somewhat common idea in game design that you have probably heard - seeding. You do it so that you can have randomly generated elements that are still predictable. There are many benefits to this, the most obvious being that a player won't reload over and over again until the chest he is using gives him something awesome.

For Wilfred the Hero I used chests that all called back to the same function, and each chest you opened gave you the next item in a sequence of items. This way you were gradually rewarded in terms of percentage of completion of the game. It also prevents the player from missing out on something because they just happened to forget one chest. I think it is good for balance.
