Yesterday I wrote some more in my walkthrough for the game, often this is when I get some ideas for future events in the game, and I also started to make it where you will slide the direction the slopes show in the ice cave. If the slope is steep, you won't make it over it.

Preparing the Arena of Mage Duel for Act II and taking Screen Shots which I won't post here to avoid triple-redundancy.

Total Time Spent Working Today (So Far): ~3 Hours
Okay okay, I will look at those screenshots, no need to post about then anywhere elese :P

Anyway:

From 10:00am to 1:00pm: DLed and tested RMVX... hate the tileset limitations and likes too fewq things to use it. Back to work on my sprites.
Yesterday I increased the save file limit to 99, tested the game to the end of the first episode, added Frog Icon events to the last room in the cave without any, and added a new monster. I just need to add a few more events, mostly in the first town, and it will be ready for beta-test.
This is a LOT more successful than I thought it would be! Great going, guys! I'm not home right now, but I do have some stuff to report on my game.

I was sleeping during my drive today ~_~ I'll do an extra drive tomorrow or Sunday.
It has been pretty helpful. I actually took the last week off from RM entirely, because there was a lot of stress and chaos in my life at the time. The 'personal week' started with one of my dogs dying, and is ending with me taking my other dog to vet' as she continually throws up blood. Along with other things in between. Lovely. Anyway, I'm resuming work tonight. ._.

I did absolutely no work on Mage Duel today.

Only thing I did for my game yesterday was edit my small mech sprite slightly...

10/11-
Began by setting up an array to put in enemy immunities. Then I moved on to what I mentioned before, damage calculation for 1 out of 6 scenarios (player attacks enemy, as opposed to player criticals enemy, or enemy attacks player, etc). Then I started trying to make a fancy visual effect for the damage, and failed epically. Rest of the time was spent trying to fix that, which was stupid. I got rusty or something. Also, more music.

Mapped some more of a graveyard.
Fiddled with hero and monster stats a little.
Added more monsters to another dungeon area.
Messed about with some NPCs in Louvre.

Celdrans Curse
Added more sounds.
Toned down the music a bit and added some in quieter areas.
Fiddled with hero and monsters stats - adding skills and making battles a bit more balanced.


A decent amount so far. Probably do a bit more mapping and editing in RealmS before days end.

I would join up, but there's no way that I have set times to work on my game. Being a parent makes that a challenge sometimes, y'know? I can hardly program an event without my baby "trying to help", AKA slamming on the keyboard. You know how many times I've had to program a certain NPC? 15. 15! I've redrawn three maps, one map that I wanted to look a certain way I redrew 10 times... ah, man... but I still love my baby! She just wants to help! Ahahahaha!

Maybe just a certain day of the week? I try to work 15 minutes a day on my projects at least, an hour if I can swing it.

I am using VX for my other game though but I'm pretty much stuck at it due to my limited RGSS knowledge u.u

WIP is correct because you wouldn't want 4-way tile movement on a map like that. Any kind of work done like that is designed for pixel based movement.

I mean it looks fantastic, but it just isn't ideal.
