SOOOO ANY EVENTS COMING ALONG..
Posts
I dunno make a short RPG in 48 hour...or the best final boss battle...but yard sale sounds cool tho.
There was one planned for around the start of the month but I was too busy and it fell through. That said, we do have one planned for next month, and there's a review drive this weekend through til next (though we can still do a gammak event at the same time)!
How about a one-week game make jam-off starting this Saturday and running til next Sunday? Or something like that. Come up with an idea and I'll gladly help you out with it. ;p
Edit: Oh, what about a swapsies type event? Make half a game, then swap with someone else and finish their game off? We could do a random swap (so people hand in their half and they're randomly given off to others to end it), and maybe a set time/date, like one week per part (for a two-week event).

It could be a judged thing - we haven't had a judging for a while.
But yeah, review event this weekend through to next and a resource creation event next month means we can slot in a gammak event too, since it caters to more than one side of the site.

How would you judge it? how well they continued/developed the design idea?
I'd be up for judging if you needed any, tho. Will likely have a little bit of time.
I was thinking of doing a few reviews, will hold off until the weekend then. And resource creation..! Please say it involves graphics. No, don't.It'll be a surprise!

I'd be down for this.

Yes! That sounds like a load of fun!!

Nothing reveals Humanity so well as the games it plays. A game of betrayal, where the most suspicious person is brutally murdered? How savage.

I fifth this notion. That would be an event I could see myself enter. I'm already excited by the thought of puzzle games that suddenly turn into horror and characters who do a complete 180 halfway through the plot.
Yeah, the more I think about it, the more that sort of thing sounds like a fun cool idea! Would we all have to use the same engine tho to make sure people would be able to continue the game?

That would make sense. At the very least there'd need to be an even number of participants per engine.
In other words, I should fire up the engines, eh?
rider, since you came up with the topic, would you like to be a judge or host the event?

Am not really good at judging,I just want to participate in an event that's all..but am only good at throwing ideas and vanish quickly into the darkness.
i've always supported the idea of like, people making a bunch of maps and then everybody else having to stitch something together in them. i'd be totally down for this even if it's not exactly that.
I'll put up the page tomorrow for sign-ups and we can get this started next weekend. Good idea to give people some warning for gammak.

Oooh, this should totally be a future event! That's a super cool idea! :DDDDD
