LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

(Nice maps, LockeZ. The second one is pretty much how Aldus sees everything anyway.

Also, three more players!? It's getting kind of crowded in here. And to think pianotm and I were the only ones at one point.)

These vampires aren't so bad. At least they aren't trying to shoot me like the last ones I met. But then again, they can fly, so perhaps they are something different entirely? What am I thinking, of course they are something different. Everything is.
I don't know why they are trying to eat us, though. I know they aren't hungry, at least. Maybe it's just a misunderstanding?
I cast Implant Memory on as many of the bats as I can target, to remind them that they have just eaten a huge, huge meal, and have no desire to eat anything for a while.

My Chaotic Magic roll is a 27.

P.S.: Seiromem, I have two questions: Firstly, since my summon kind of destroyed itself, is Chaotic Summon on cooldown now or not? And secondly, do my spells have any kind of material or verbal component or require some sort of gestures etc.? Because I like to imagine that half of the time, Aldus isn't even consciously aware that he is using his magic to begin with.

(Actually it appears to be two more players and the return of Fearful.)

Yes, Chaotic summon didn't go on cooldown since it technically wasn't destroyed, t just converted it's being into a lightning bolt that electrocuted a bat.

Yes, spells require some form of incantation and gestures. These can be quick and simple, long and elaborate, or somewhere in between. No spell needs material components unless it is of a high grade of power. This is because spells are cast by tapping into the constant energies of the universe (the elements) and changing them in a way that you can use.

Leara begins to play a kick-ass battle theme for this fight.

What music do you play? (it doesn't have to be a battle-theme)

Oh, I don't know. Here, I'll link to something from my Summoner of Sounds selection: Lost in the Underground. It's old school techno, and it doesn't have a lute, but I think it's kind of badass.

As Leara plays her lute, that music comes out.

None of you are surprised.

So the bats are totes unable to move or attack, right? I attack as many of them as I can with my sword Woohoo! 20! (+5)

Ooooh, you can keep that 20 for your next attack.

You have to play for one round, then on the next round use your action to end your song dramatically, THEN every creature who heard you is affected depending on your performance roll (in this case, cannot move and attack, which is great.).

Later upgrades will make ending Symphonic Resonance a bonus action so you can attack after ending, and then making the first performance a bonus action so that you can attack before performing.
I rolled an 11, could you explain what I need to do with my skill points once more?

You can invest your skill points to get better scores when you use specific skills. There is a list of all the skills in the first post of this thread. At level 1, you can invest a maximum of 1 point into each skill. What they essentially do is give you an extra +1 bonus to every roll you make for that skill.

On the list of skills, it also says which stat (Str, Int, Cha etc.) they are based on. Whenever you roll for a skill, you have to add the bonus (or Penalty, in case of a negative score) your character has in that skill to the roll as well. If you are proficient in a skill, you get to add another +2 on top of that.

The general formula for skill roll is thus:
D20 + stat modifier + skill points for that skill + Proficiency Bonus (if applicable)

For example, if Falith had to roll a Religion check, you would get to add your +5 Int modifier to the roll, since Religion is an Int-based skill. You'd get an additional +2 because of your proficiency in Religion (as listed on your character profile) as well. This brings you up to a total bonus of +7 that you would add to your D20 roll. If Falith also had one skill point in Religion, that bonus woud increase by another +1, for a total of +8.

I hope this helps.

((OOC: I thought I'd bring this up after reading mafia dead chat - Enna, as a character, is one who is somewhat resentful towards herself, and has a dark history that she generally wants to avoid talking about. She is also not used to travelling with groups of people, working solitarily for most of her life, and certainly isn't that trusting or confident in other people. Details about that was stuff I planned to reveal at the right moments through the game.

As far as other races are concerned, she is actually indifferent, but has instinctive apprehension towards races with bad history behind them; a "passive racist," for like of a better term. Think of it as seeing a person in a minority group dressed like a gangsta' and getting anxious when around them, despite knowing that they might not have any true ill will towards you. That's the best I can describe Enna's feelings towards Drow.

Anyway, to get to the point, I'm just roleplaying. I don't want anyone here to think that I have any actual resentment or apprehension towards you guys, and even the insults I made are just me playing the part. I'm sorry if you guys got the impression that I was adding anything personal here, because that was not the intent at all.))

(Wait, what? Why on earth would anyone assume that you were somehow projectíng anything personal through our characters' interactions? It takes quite a bit of roleplaying skill to have a character who is constantly in conflict with the group, but also not so antisocial that they would break the group apart either. It's a very difficult balancing act, and to me it seemed extremely obvious from the very beginning that Enna and Ratty524 are completely different people. In fact, I think you're doing a great job at portraying your character, and I would not have needed this objective information blurb about Enna since you already conveyed all of this through your playstyle.

For the record, I'm not actually insane either. Or not quite that much, at least.)

(Nobody thinks this is personal, Ratty. It took me an hour to dream up that insult. I even had LockeZ come in here and set it up for me. It was all for the character. Leara is an actor, meaning she can be overly dramatic, and she loves to talk and to sing. She's also a drow, meaning she has a really short fuse. It can be an interesting combination that leads to some very razor sharp words.)
