A Shield of gray energy forms around Agnelia and immediately gets burst by the lightning, leaving Agnelia unharmed.

Before Aldus and Falith are stricken, for a split second, an angel appears and the lightning does not reach them. She disappears and the remaining lightning rains down on the floor, leaving Falith and Aldus unharmed.

The table catches fire under the heat of the lightning, and a thin smoke begins to rise as the stalactites begin to skitter around the ceiling almost as if in a frenzy.

Seiromem, I have an out of character question: What kind of beings are angels in the context of this game's setting? Or rather, what would someone like Aldus think they are? Depending on that, my reaction to what just happened might change.

Angels and Profane Beings(Demons and Devils) are usually the embodiment of good and evil. Whether they're lawful good or chaotic good depends on the angel. For example: Azatas (The type of angel you can summon) are extremely chaotic, while Archons are extremely lawful. Both of them are good beings, however.
Demons are chaotic evil while devils are the lawful evil counterparts.

Just to remind you, not every creature MUST have an alignment to... align with each race. Dwarves are usually highly lawful but some can be chaotic, elves the opposite. Dark elves are usually evil, while angels are usually good, but the opposite is not unheard of.

Yes, rolling for running is completely unneeded, however outrunning someone or almost anything do to with extreme physical exertion goes under Athletics.

Everyone tries to rush out of the room quickly, as the stalactites from the ceiling actually start to drop down! Chloe, Leara, and Aldus are struck by these falling spikes of stone! They each take 3 damage as the stones drive into the earth and insect legs are seen thrashing about on the base of the stalactites, which are now revealed in the torchlight.
