…Anyways, stupid Minny managed to claw back from the awe-inspiring depths of a 2-0 hole and managed to climb out of it somehow by registering 5 goals in last night’s game against Dallas – and this is a team that has trouble scoring and is missing one of its top players! WTF!? (There goes my two bonus points out the window…)
Although - on the plus side - I am enjoying the shit out of watching the Kings and the Sharks series. It’s pretty entertaining thus far, despite the Sharks almost totally dominating the Kings in each of the first three games. The Kings are lucky that they even won that last game in OT and made it 2-1, otherwise they'd be screwed!
- But it looks like a lot of surprises so far in regards to Nashville, St. Louis, and even San Jose currently leading their respective series’ so far. I know it’s still early and all, but it looks like they’re could be a couple of upsets in the first round if these current trends continue.

Hey Hexatona how did you get your avatar to be a 4 color palette? I've tried doing something similar (just the cyan/magenta CGA palette) with some other images but found it to be a lot more busy work than I thought it would be. Was there a tutorial or automatic converter online that you used?

Good ol fashioned elbowgrease, my friend.
Using my extensive knowledge of GIMP and my work in creating stencils from images for use on bleached shirts, I have mastered the craft of garish eyebleach.
Basically, I just turn it black and white, use the Posterize function to reduce it down to 4 colors, CMYK, and then use layers to make a gif out of it.
You should have seen the one I didn't go with - it was all screen shakey.
I can give you a more detailed rundown if you'd like, but that's the coles notes.
I'm a nerd so I love garish eyebleach as long as it is old video game palette eyebleach!
I'll have to try your method out. My failures were mostly trying to use photoshop to reduce the image to 16 colors or so then eyeballing the ones it created to black/white/cyan/magenta (or before a Paint.net plugin). It got a bit better when I started breaking up the image into individual bits and repeating the above process on each smaller part and then flattening the results.
I'll have to try converting to black & white and a proper posterize function when I try again, thanks for the help :)

GRS - you just brought back some great memories with that one - So many transmissions destroyed man, you don't even know.
I got all sorts of tips to making the process nice and pretty. If you find the after you reduced the pallet it's really sandy and grainy and you wanted nice smooth areas, use something akin to GIMPs Oilify filter. It's really nice...
Damn, I should work on Dweomer of the Drill-Faced Goddess...

Well, how's about I actually finish it, send it to you, and then surprise "May Fools Day" you release it!
I never had to worry about the transmission, I always went with the automatic! 
(it wouldn't have mattered anyways because I could never complete the Mulholland Drive route without hitting a rock or the cliff face and exploding horribly)

One of my favourite features of Gimp is the "select by color" tool. Does SAI have that feature? I don't remember that being a thing.
It does have a magic wand tool but looking at shitty tutorials on google it doesn't look like you can set specific threshold values or a global mode. I've done palette editing in Paint.net with zero tolerance and flood mode to select all instances of one color and changing it.
These are way cooler than the seizure inducing white flashes and more people should use them in popular media! Now instead of epileptic warnings we can give "no you are not having an acid flashback" warnings!
I vote that we have a running tally of game outcomes. I am a failure as a Canadian and Human beings so I do not have cable or watch hockey.
I've been avoiding the games because other I suffer horrible burnout halfway through and end up skipping the finals. I'm gonna try to catch some of the elimination games and if they look close then watch 'em.
