I signed up for this site YEARS ago for a number of reasons. I wanted to start playing indie RPGs. I mainly signed up for the site because my goal is to start doing freelance composition for video games within the next FIVE years! I did study music in my undergrad.
I'm an extroverted introvert and way too insecure for this line of work which is why I'm pushing myself to 1) get on this forum and 2) actually post on this forum. I'm tired of making excuses. I try to get away from composing and I feel empty and get drawn back in... I'm hoping to make friends, network and eventually work on some projects.

If you are tired of making excuses, you've come to the right place! We are excellent at coaching and training individuals so that their endurance is greatly amplified, allowing them to continue on making excuses for YEARS to come!

Tanks that are introverts wish they could make little, quiet booms in the hopes that nobody notices them! It... doesn't always work that way, though.

NeverSilent: Thank you so much ! :D I personally love the concept of the Summoner of Sounds. I tried to do something similar where I had friends give me descriptions of stories and I would compose pieces that reflected the feel of them. But I ran into issues with my version, maybe because the ideas for the compositions were too vague or because I was psyching myself out? And the description for the most current Summoner of Sounds reminds me of the whole "Curse of the 9th" superstition with composers and their symphonies :X Like, Now you gotta compose the final boss, 10th symphony, and live dun dun DUNNNNN
Also, the Anti-procrastination initiative is SUCH a great idea. I normally have horrible timing with things but it seems that I came back to this site just in time to be held accountable to my goals.
psy_wombats : I DO have a Soundcloud I just updated it today... with a track I started 6 years ago >.> But I'm currently re-working/finishing it... My Soundcloud is a mess there's large gaps between my updates. ahahah...ha... That's seriously about to change.
I'll probably pop around the other forums at some point. xD
