That question being

What the FUCK was the point of Jin's character?
What was her purpose??? So you play this zombie game and there's lots of misery and human horribleness going around right? Then you find this girl whose dear father has just been bitten, so you tearfully pry her away from he father so he wouldn't hurt her once he became a zombie. The game makes a point that Jin is a special character, she has her own model and stuff, and serves as the storage box of this game.

But storywise, the rest of the game all that happens to her is horrible! She get's brutally gangraped, then is left in a high security prison amongst tenths of dangerous and sexually frustrated prisoners all by herself for many hours, then in the end she gets unceremoniously killed in a 5 second scene? What was the bloody point?

To be honest lots of things about the story in this game seem ridiculous and dumb, and i think this even though i played with the special character after beating the game.

WHAT?
I haven't played the game but I think you answered the question yourself: Sometimes lots of horrible things happen for no apparent reason, and sometimes we don't understand what's going on. Life can be like that.
played the game with my girlfriend and being the "must be complete all quests" kind of people we kind of overlooked it..... i think since the game itself was very unpolished with lots of glitches the creators probably thought none of it... Deep Silver seems to have hit or miss games. We just played the game for the zombie gore and coop mode.
I was really mad about Jin getting killed at the end, after all that work trying to save her.
It was a poor example of trying to make a likable character so the player can get attached only for the character to get killed and be a sob fest and it flopped on its face. To be honest Dead Island's story is a load a garbage anyway, in my opinion.
