[ONE PIECE MAFIA [SIGN-UPS]

The world is made up of five oceans - North Blue, East Blue, West Blue, South Blue and the Grand Line. The Grand Line runs all the way around the world in a dividing line, separating the Blues. There's a first half and a second half to the Grand Line - the first half is called Heaven and the second is called the New World. The Marines keep peace in the Blues and try to keep peace in the first half, but the New World is ran by four Warlords of the Sea (Yonkou), pirates whose power has made them equal with each other and who claim many islands as their own.

In the Grand Line are a lot of islands, all with their own localised weather systems and magnetic pulls. At the end of the Grand Line is Raftel, the hidden island where the now-dead Pirate King, Gold Roger, stored all of his treasure.

Those who seek the treasure, those who seek power, those who seek adventure - these men and women become pirates and set sail for the Grand Line, hoping to find the clues that will lead them to the island of Raftel, where they can claim the title of Pirate King.

Against these pirates are the World Government and the Marines. The World Government is ruled by the Gorosei, a 5-man group who head the political chain in the world. Below them are the Celestial Dragons (the World Nobles) who are a group of racist pathetic inbred fuckers (no really, bar two that we've seen the rest are complete assholes). These jerks are basically spoiled little shits who get their way in everything and indulge in such wonderful past times as slavery, killing men to marry their wives/fiances, killing just because they feel like it, treating everyone who isn't one of them like complete trash, acting like utter fuckers and stealing candy from small children (probably.)

The Marines are headed by the Fleet Admiral Sakazuki (former Admiral Akainu, user of the Magma Magma Devil Fruit), and have some extremely strong and capable fighters. Among the force that can be called on by the Marines is the Shichibukai, seven pirates (and their crews) whose bounty was removed and are given a carte-blanc on all their actions as long as they do as told. These are made up of some extremely strong and capable pirates.

In addition to them are the Revolutionaries, a group of freedom fighters who are engaging in a hidden war against the World Government, headed by the most powerful man in the world.

Into all of this steps Monkey D Luffy, a young man from East Blue, who forms a crew of pirates in order to become the Pirate King. They are not heroes but they are not villains, merely a family of friends who have their own goals but are tied together by bonds of acceptance, friendship and determination. One Piece is their story.

Human is the basic and most populous race. It's pretty straight forward. Human is human, though in One Piece they are a lot more resistant to damage than real life humans and some have lived quite long lives (150+). They are found in almost all parts of the world and have many different civilisations.

Humans can breed with merfolk to produce a human-merfolk child. However, further interbreeding with humans appears to remove all apparent merfolk features. After just two generations, the only merfolk trait is a fast swimming ability, with all other physical traits being human. Humans can also breed with fishmen to produce a wotan. Humans, fishmen, and merfolk also share the same blood types, and can have transfusions provided the blood type matches.


Fishman/woman are bipedal fish-people who live in the Grand Line, though sometimes they can be found in other oceans (often as part of pirate crews). They usually live on or around Fishman Island, which is a passing point for pirates headed to the New World. They can live and breathe in water or on land and are 10x as strong, physically, as a normal human. Their natural skills are dictated by what species of fishman they are (for example, octopus-based fishmen will likely have ink-based abilities whilst a blowfish fishman will probably have poison and spike abilities).

Their biological make-up reaches back many generations so someone whose great-great-great grandfather was a hammerhead fishman could have a child who is also hammerhead fishman. This allows for a large diversity of fishman/women types.

Fishmen are a rarity and often in high demand for slavery. There are some who have escaped from slavery and joined the Sun Pirates, bearing the tattoo that covers their slave marks.



Merfolk also live in Fishman island (in fact, they rarely leave the areas around it) and are extremely fast swimmers. Much like Fishmen, they draw from their ancestral genetics when born to dictate what type of Merfolk they are when born, though the main difference between the two is that fishmen have legs and merfolk have fins. Indeed, it's not uncommon for Merfolk and Fishmen to interbreed. Merfolk have the ability to breathe underwater, talk to fish and swim faster than anything on the ocean. When they are older adults their tails split into legs to enable them to walk on land without hindrance.

They are highly prized as slaves, mainly for the sake of vanity and rareness of their species, especially young females. The fact that they are so fast and can call on fish to help them makes them very hard to catch. Usually those caught are found on land, where their swimming speed cannot help them, or by trickery as they do not have much interaction with humans and thus can be rather naive.


Giants are a species that are basically like much, much bigger humans. Their biggest point is that they're huge and that most of them come from a Viking-like society on the island of Elbaf. Their abilities are pretty much using their bodies (or super-sized tools) to destroy and crush. They are also a lot more resistant to damage than other species and live three times as long as humans.

Giants are a scattered and rare race, some of them found working for the World Government (and thus the Marines) whilst others have joined pirate crews.

As Giants are considered a human race, they can also breed with fishmen and this gives rise to giant Wotans, who retain their fishman-based biology and powers, but with the addition of a giants' resistance and a much larger (but not quite comparable) size.


Dwarves are an extremely small sentient race. In comparison to an average sized human, their difference in height is approximately the same as that between a normal-sized human and an average-sized giant. They are mostly human in shape, apart from having a thick fluffy tail and often have pointed noses.

Dwarves, despite their size, are very strong and nimble. They are capable of destroying a building quite easily and can move faster than the eye can see, often making them hard to find by normal means. They also are very good at growing plants, with a natural affinity for it. They are, however, very gullible and easily tricked as they are quite trusting which can be a problem as they are prized as slaves for their novelty.


The Longarm and Longleg tribes are human-like peoples who have longer arms and legs than other humans. The Longarms have an extra joint in their arms, allowing for extra movement. This gives them a greater versatility when it comes to attack and reach.

The Longlegs have much longer legs, making them taller than normal humans. Their legs have greater reach and are stronger than normal, so they can move quite fast and their kicks are devastating.

Also prized as slaves (at this point, who isn't? Goddamn World Nobles).



The Mink tribe are a people who live on the back of a giant elephant named Zou, who walks the world as a moving island. The Minks are quite isolated due to this, though they have close ties to the ruling family of Wano Country and are very welcoming to guests, despite a belief that they are isolationist.

Minks are humanoids with animal features and each takes after a specific mammalian animal. They possess humanoid hands and feet, but those based on animals with paws will also possess paw pads on their palms.

The species that individual minks take after are not hereditary but how mink reproduction works and how each member gains their physical traits has yet to be fully elaborated upon.

Abilities seem to be based apon the type of animal they are. For example, a rabbit-type would have enhanced speed and jumping ability, whilst a lion-type would have more power and range. They are also very good at stealth and identifying others, and have the ability to create a shock-like attack called Electro which some can channel through weapons.

Every Mink is a warrior and capable of protecting themselves. They are trained to use their skills to fight and continue to do so into old age. They also have an enhanced rate of recovering from injuries.

Minks are very honest with their desires and naturally pursue things that their animal traits stereotypically like (for example, bananas for primate minks, fluttery cloth for bull minks or bones for canine minks). They tend to show affection to others in the form of "minkship", which includes cuddling, nibbling, licking or exchanging clothes and most of them are fond of humans, some even confessing attraction to them. Whether that means interbreeding is capable is not known, however they do believe that humans are furless minks themselves.

Devil Fruits are the basic 'mystic powers' in the world of One Piece. They are a special, one-of-a-kind, bad-tasting fruit that bestow a power on being eaten. One bite is enough to give that power, though there are drawbacks to having a Devil Fruit power:
- You can not swim. Instead you sink like a rock in deep water.
- You grow weaker the more submerged you are in water, meaning the being fully submerged will make you unable to move.
- Your power is nullified when in water of a certain depth (gonna say about up to your knees as a general rule of thumb).
- Keirosaki, a special type of metal, is imbued with the power of the ocean. This metal nullifies a Devil Fruit Users' powers, and are used usually as hand-cuffs or jail cell material by the Marines.


There are three kinds of Devil Fruit.

Paramecia
The most common of the three classes, Paramecia class Devil Fruits offer their users superhuman physical abilities or traits, such as shock wave generation and locking onto targets. Other Devil Fruits can alter features of the body such as a rubber physique or a body of blades, or the people, objects, and environment around the user, like levitating objects or turning people into toys. Finally, there are some users that can manipulate and generate some kinds of substances, such as wax and poison.

Zoan
The users of Zoan class Devil Fruits gain the ability to transform into an animal (and acquire every trait affiliated with said animal). The user can also transform into a human-animal hybrid form or a twin-beast hybrid. Zoan Fruits can also be transferred into weapons, such as guns or swords. There are Zoan Devil Fruits based not only on common animals, but also on prehistoric animals like dinosaurs and mythological creatures as well (ancient and mythological are rarer than the typical Zoan Fruit, with mythological said to be even rarer than Logia Devil Fruits).

Logia
The rarest of the three Devil Fruit classes, Logia class Devil Fruits offer their users the ability to transform themselves into an element, whether it be solid elements like ice or sand, liquids like mud or syrup, gases like smoke and poison gas, forms of plasma (in some cases, energies) like fire and lightning, or into a materialization of abstract concepts such as darkness.

This can effectively make them intangible, making physical attacks harmlessly go through them, or allow them to be able to absorb the attack completely. They also gain every ability related to that element (such as in the case of sand where moisture can be absorbed or lightning where the user can travel through objects like electricity does) and gain the skill to disperse, control, and rejoin any part of their bodies while conscious and in control of their powers (including explosions, bullet wounds or cuts). Logia users can move every part of their transformed bodies while in element form.


In General
There is no real power ranking between Devil Fruits, bar similar 'elemental powers' such as Fire vs Lava or nullifications such as Rubber vs Lightning. Otherwise it is all on the User of the power to make up their own skills and abilities based on the Fruit in question. Someone you may think is stronger could be defeated by another 'weaker' fruit user who has out-thought them. Imagination is key when it comes to who is stronger and whether one power would beat another in a fight, so there is no 'mine is better than yours'.
