i've devised a way to kill a lot of town and also win us the game.
being scummy is not saying things like "i want to murder people in this game.' thats not how mafia "works"
Yeah, but hitting town is the whole point of tie-lynching. Your chances of hitting scum are too low to justify it. Now, town might suggest it, but scum is the one that will take it and run. Shinan backed off of it which made me focus on Hex again, but then he said that utter tripe about the person who breaks the tie could only be scum, and that was just...fucking no.
And no, if you're scum proudly determined to kill everyone, saying "I want to murder people" is not the best way to hide it, so I have to agree with that.

if everyone understands and commits to the 'everyone but cavedog selfvotes' plan, then everyone who breaks the tie WILL be scum, as only scum would have a reason to do so, since following through with that plan would instantly win us the game

Anyway, hex is probably the person mostly on my radar, although I think IF likes to play quiet scum.
Hex if only because some of his reasons to accuse people are less than stellar - which is what I'd expect from first time scum. Also, the mindset of "you guys are the experts here" is reminiscent of Ozzy last game.

I'm really not sure what to say. Currently, I don't have anyone on my radar, as people seem to be calling, but that's because I'm useless, probably.
If I was going to use my gut instinct, I'd say Hexatona and CAVE feel... odd, but I have no idea about Hexatona's play style, and CAVE was saying I'm scum, so I feel sort of defensive towards him, and am therefore biased. Pretty much, I don't know who is, and isn't Mafia.

i am confirmed town because everyone is afraid to make me scum because the town cannot win without me and the scum cannot lose with me. i think you will all find that this logic is ironclad. proceed with the selfvoting
Maybe we should collectively agree to not lynch anyone this day? We have the most chance to fail, and we'll have a lot more information tomorrow.
I agree that Cave Dog's plan could probably work, if we can trust him. But on the other hand, we can't yet AND even if we did win, that would make for a pretty quick game.

I don't follow this one. If we lynch someone, we'd more than likely lose two (or more, in the event of a tie) town in one night. Wouldn't that just take our chances?
No, Hex, if we lynch, that kill shows us the lynched party's alignment. We can then see who he or she butted heads with, or largely agreed with, or observe the way people previously interacted in the way they don't ordinarily do. Without a lynch, scum just gets there night kill.
Even if we don't get any useful information, if we lynch, we may, and probably will mislynch town, but scum has an advantage we don't. They KNOW who town is. So while we might mislynch town, scum will DEFINITELY kill town. A day without a lynch is a free day for scum.
