If Gourd flips town then he was telling the truth, he really had the orb, and psy is confirmed town. If Gourd flips scum, then we haven't learned anything useful about psy, but we killed a scum (Gourd). It's win/win.
also i heavily disagree with designating gourd as a nightkill. first of all, that won't clear anyone. if scum got the orb, they could just fake the result. i don't think hex is scummy in the first place either so I don't see the point in faux-confirming him.

i don't really think it's a good idea to try to confirm townies by killing other townies.
I would not suggest this plan if I thought Gourd was probably town. In fact I think he's acting weird anyway. As I said at the top of page 21, he was my #2 pick to lynch even before I thought of this plan.

Ah, I shall make a big post of why Gourd is innocent. (Because I can think of a lot of stuff that doesn't really fit me being scum.) In the meantime, LockeZ's reasoning is coming off a bit insincere. I am fine with being nightkilled tonight since it'll clear psy.

I don't think he's scum - he's innocent for a lot of the same reasons I am. :P

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

If you don't like the idea of killing Gourd then let's kill OzzyTheOne instead. Every time he posts it's like sewage is seeping out through his pores. I can smell it. If I happen to get the bomb for the second night in a row tonight though, I know where I'm planting it.

Yeah I think killing gourd is dumb at this point. He's not cleared but he hasn't exactly been scummy.

@Cave If that reasoning hits home, you'll be my hero CAVE. Well, I suspect Gourd more than I do Hex, but maybe they're both scum?
@Psy I was not proud of that game, at least not on how I played it. I could've played it better. Besides, this game I'm trying to scumhunt on my own, while last game I just followed other peoples logic.
I don't really consider the last game a good indicator of how you would behave as scum because it was excessively abnormally 'structured.' you also had the two people on your mason team making anti-town decisions that you just had to go along with so..yeah.
The amount of meta in the last two pages in staggering.
Some facts not dependent on previous games:
- Shinan did a vote-and-run on CAVE_DOG, someone we can all consider Town fairly easily thanks to his interactions with oddRABBIT earlier. Are we all just forgetting that?
- Gourd using the Orb does NOT clear him from being Scum. Ergo, psy_wombats has NOT been cleared from being Scum.
- Ozzy's an interesting case as they're someone I thought as slightly scummy in the beginning, and now other people are thinking there's something off as well.

The thing is I don't know enough about shinan to tell if his actions are scummy are just bad town. It looks like bad town to me which is why I wouldn't be sorry to see him blown up, but I don't think he's worth lynching.
Gourd using the orb makes him less likely to be scum, (at least to me). I'd argue you can at least trust his result, though: if he's scum, he'd be practically giving away the other scum if he's in danger.
There was always something a bit off about ozzy but I just attributed it to paranoia haha. With some concrete info things are looking better.

I don't know enough about Shinan in Mafia games either, but that doesn't mean I'm going to pretend it's okay that he just voted and ran away. He could just be phoning it in because he's in a team of lurkers/absentees, for example.

Vote and runs are dumb, yes, I just don't think this one reads scum any more than it does bad town though.
And as for the orb, no, using it doesn't clear Gourd, but scum could've also straight up not used it. Although I'm more convinced by his actions around the orb than his actually getting it or his choice of targets. Like I think he's more likely to be scum than ivory or someone, but there are much better targets. There's not really much scummy about him.
