COTTON MAFIA (CONGRATULATIONS!)

Tonight, probably 2 people will die, which means we'll only need 5 votes to get a lynch on day 3. Of course, only if we don't get a lynch today that is.
In case Shinan does get lynched today, I suggest killing Goird with the bomb, seeing as you guys don't seem to trust him that much.
I'm not sure on who we should use the seer ability, if a member of town gets it of course.

LockeZ
I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

author=CAVE_DOG_IS_BACKThere's a forcefield item that protects someone for a night.
if two people ever don't die in the night it means that scum is withholding a bomb and that we're at defcon 5
Plus, why would scum be any more likely to withhold a bomb than town? I think they'd use it right away. Plus, why would it be worse for town if scum hold onto the bomb than if they used it immediately? It'd give us an extra day to kill the bomb-holder. This is kind of a weird comment all around.
that wasnt really meant to be a serious all-encompassing statement
but to put forth the possibility that that could happen, in case I die tonight.
in the situation i describe the conversation where someone says "hey i tried to bomb x" and then someone else says "i protected them" wouldn't be happening. but I think town wouldn't necessarily catch onto the absence of this conversation and realise that it meant scum was withholding the bomb, unless I brought up the possibility.
in a world where scum withheld the 2nd kill and saved it for later and town didn't realise, the advantages would essentially be that town would be lulled into a false sense of security, thinking they had one more day than they actually did. There's not really any kind of incentive for town to withhold the bomb. I mean, I guess you could if you really wanted your vig to be more accurate in the lategame, and thought you would live that long, for some reason. But town really shouldn't be doing that because a. we don't know if scum is holding the bomb or town, which is panicking, and b. you'll probably just die before you can use it anyway.
scum probably will use their bombs right away. my statement wasn't saying anything about what they were likely to do.

how I stopped worrying and learned to love the bomb

Here are all of Shinan's posts from today.
I really don't think Shinan is playing as scum. He would be backpedaling at least a little, instead of acting like an obstinate fool with strong, incorrect convictions that he doesn't want to share the reasoning behind with anyone else, even when he is getting lynched over it.
If he were scum there's really no reason for him to go after Cavedog with a solitary lynch vote that nobody else agrees with and then offer no explanation. The only reason for him to do that is to make a statement, so that when the game ends, he can say, "See, I told you so." If he actually wanted to lynch Cavedog he would be trying to convince people somehow.
If I were even just neutral about him at this point, I'd probably jump on the bandwagon, but... I think I'm actually mostly convinced he's town?

Sup. I don't really have much to say.

I always hope to be suspicious enough not to be killed at night and not so suspicious that I am the first choice for any lynch.
Though I stand by my lynch.

I am playing. But I have nothing substantial to say so I just say random shite.

that said i'm not particularly sold on him (there's not much to analyze there) but there's no way i'm letting shinan be alive at lylo.

It doesn't really look like he bailed to me. He took the time to reiterate his intention to not explain himself three separate times. If I thought he just went AFK I'd totally be down for murdering the hell out of him.
it's too bad i am the only person here you can argue this with since everyone else is asleep
I don't think a lot of votes are going to be changing at this time, so for now the conversation seems a bit moot.
Also, totally unrelated - Ghostbusters was actually quite good!

Ozzy, you might have missed my question: Did you never find Hex suspicious?

Looking through the thread, I can only find one post where he seems to be agreeing with you.
There was only one I can remember, but I got the same "is this buddying?" feeling from Gourd so I buy his reasoning mostly.
I really have no qualms about shinan dying, I have no idea if he's scum or not, so, will just let this go to timeout.
Not sure I buy the bomb reasoning. Aren't only two powerups of the three handed out per night anyway?
Ok, 2 hours left. The Day will be over before Americana wakes up. I will notify Ivory, that she is about to be modkilled.
Time ran out.
I don't understand why the discussion at one point derailed into being able to save a bomb. I got a shield last night and there was no implication I could save it to use it at a later date.

author=psy_wombatsThis was the original rule but it seems to have been silently changed? The OP now reads that all three items are given out every night.

Cap_H mentioned at the end of day 1 that he was changing who could get the orb, but this change was not mentioned...?
I very much dislike mid-game rule changes, but I even more strongly dislike when they're changed by quietly editing a post from a week ago without telling anyone in the main thread.
