So, I recently got myself an Xbox One S. Afterwards, picked myself up a 4K TV.
Does anybody else here have a similiar setup~?
It's amazing.
Be sure to tell me your experiences here.

Our family has a ~52' whatever-TV that I use to play... Standstill Girl & Paradise Blue.
It is awesome.
But no. I won't be having a 4k TV anytime soon.
If I did have tho, the first thing I'd do is watch this in 4k.
EDIT: THEY REMOVED THE 4K VERSION OF THE VIDEO???
EDIT2: woops wrong link

i think if i ever got stupid notch rich every room in my home would have an in-wall screen that played an appropriate perfume video
I have a Samsung 4K whatever. Looking forward to the PS Pro and playing through Uncharted 4 again!
A protip: Don't enable the smart settings/hook it up to the wi-fi, if you can help it. I've gotten commercials within commercials that I have to manually close with the remote pointer, and it will interrupt my Overwatch sessions by forcing me to install updates and reboot the TV.
Smart TVs are a bane and I would rather have a 50-inch 3-ton Trinitron any day.

Remember when Pepsi actually had those pre-loaded ads?

Like, way to destroy your brand, Samsung. I'd rather watch on my old 22 inch CRT TV than have to deal with shit like that.

Serious question though - why is 4k video even really a thing? To me it seems like bumping an mp3 from 320kbps to 1080kbps. It was practically lossless at the start - why quadruple the size?

It depends on the original recording/size of the television etc. (I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure most Hollywood films are mastered at far beyond 1080).
But yeah, if you have anything larger than 55 inches (with the right input configuration), I think you'll definitely see a difference.

Mine is a simple 4K 50 Inch. I mean, I noticed a big difference when I activated UHD 4K setting on my xbone. That's just me though. Netflix has it's own dedicated 4k section when your using that kind of TV.

More numbers mean more better viewing
i think my whole neighbourhood heard me laugh
There would have to be a hell of a lot of content for me to even consider switching. I don't think it's there yet, but I haven't been keeping track.
I'm still trying to find a way to get my PS2 and PSTV to look half-decent on a 32-inch 1080p display. 4K would just complicate things.
Also, don't forget that every upgrade to visual display technology means media corporations have to hire actors and anchors five years younger when people start complaining about the wrinkles and crow's feet.
