HOW DO I PLAY MV GAMES WITHOUT 3D.

For some time, i've been suffering from lack of money, which means i have to play games on a 10 years old laptop. The problem is, it doesn't have 3D accelerator on it, which means i can't play 3D games. Now here is my question, is there any way to turn off 3D plugin, like in VX ace, in RMMV?

I'd really like to get rid of LockeZ. His play style is way too unpredictable. He's always like this too. If he ran a country, he'd just kill and imprison people at random until crime stopped.

Your computer absolutely does have a 3D accelerator on it unless it's more than 21 years old. The game just either can't detect it for some reason, or else MV requires a newer version of DirectX.

Right click game. Go to the Compatability Settings tab. Change to 16-bit color mode. Then select Change Settings for All Users then select the same option there too. Click OK and try running the game.

If this doesn't work, try changing the compatibility settings in other ways. If there's a fix other than upgrading your version of DirectX, it's in that tab.

Windows XP only supports DirectX up through version 9; RPG Maker MV might require a newer version. What operating system are you using?
Tried, still laggy.

I'm using a starter Windows 7 32bits. To better detail the problem, there are MV games that are more laggy/buggy than others, VX Ace only works on software mode, i can't play even N64 roms that are 3D (for example, Harvest Moon works, Perfect Dark doesn't), DirectX is 9c.

I can't even play Touhou, everything is so laggy, but the music is normal.

Edit: Just tried updating the driver. Nope.
Do you have sufficient RAM. They recommend at least 2GB RAM for MV. It's a heavier engine than the other RMs.

Windows 7 starter? Are you using a netbook by chance?

Probably, no idea how to tell the difference.

And yes, i have 2gb ram.

The TM is for Totally Magical.

XD Do you have MORE than 2gb of ram?

I'll let you in on a secret. When a game says you need a certain amount of RAM, that's the minimum amount. You actually need more. Whenever you see that specification, it's better to have at least double that amount. You see, it's using the entirety of that RAM. Now, don't you think your computer might have other things to do in order to keep working properly, like running your OS and your BIOS?

Ah, being laggy is very, very different from not working. I thought you couldn't start the games. If they're just laggy then the solutions are completely different.

- Close down your web browsers
- Turn off your antivirus program's real-time protection
- Open the task manager, go to the list of processes, and see if anything other than svchost is using more than 100MB of RAM. If so, close that program if it's safe to do so
- If you don't know if it's safe to close a process that's listed in task manager, or how to close it, post what program it is
- Make sure your computer is actually plugged in and not running on battery - many laptops will start reducing the computer's quality and speed to save battery life when it's not plugged in

You should also download DirectX 12 because it can only help. There's no reason to still have version 9 unless you're on Windows XP.

Doing anything in software rendering mode is almost certainly the cause of your lag. If you can get the games to run without it then the lag should be fixed. The only games that you should ever really be running in software rendering mode are games that are so old that they predate the existence of 3D.

There is no anti-virus.
Already tried opening only the game.
Already done the task manager thing.
It's on power, seriously, i would have noticed, i make the screen lose brightness when on battery.
No help of DirectX 12.

I'm telling you man, btw, GPU is sis mirage 3.

Seriously, at this point i think it's easier to just find the alternative.
