CHARA MAKER TROUBLE

Ok, so I donloaded the Charas.EX, and I made a few charas. The tall peoples I used for battle sprites. It was very impresive...Anywho, whenever I made a chara-set with the medium-sized peoples,This actually happens with all of them, but I only use the medium-sized peoples for overworld charecters.they show up in a box the same color as the spritesheet background! I've seen other people use the Charas.EX, and you play the game, the charecters dont show up in a box. So, lend me a hand! My game would be ready to start if I didn't have this piece of shit problem.
Thank you.
Thank you.
We already had this not so long ago. Try looking in this topic.

@ DD and Azn: No, this one is different. He's using the actual program. I used the online one and mine showed up blurred. I believe he's asking about the transparency thing.
@: Garren:
Step 1) Open up Mspaint (your new best friend)
Step 2) Pick a color that ISN'T the current background color
Step 3) Use that color on the background
Step 4) Save in .png and 256 colors (which, it's in 256 colors unless it says invalid png format or something or other. If this happens google Ultimate Paint, download it, try steps 1-4 again)
Step 5) Open up RPG Maker and click import resources.
Step 6) When the picture shows up for importing the resouce click the background and the background should begin to blink. When that happens that means that it's going to be transparent in the game.
That should do it I believe.

:o Wait a sec, that wasn't the problem. I actually found that out importing it. The background didn't blink, everything in black did! Somehow, the game thinks that black it the background color, so it makes it transparent! I think I knew that, I just forgot it. So this is an entirly new issue! Or mabye not... Either way, we now know the problem. So let's fix it.

The online program is pretty different from Charas-EX the program.
Also, Garren... please work on limiting yourself to ONE POST in a row.

Uhh.. I know?
You don't need to do all that stuff. You just need to save the file the Charas-EX gives you and important with the proper color as transparent.

they show up in a box the same color as the spritesheet background!
Those steps were included to fix this.

The box of color was there because the background color was not set to transparent, the black outline of the charsets was.

Ahhh I see now. I should have read his double post more clearly. Either way, I helped someone out with it in the end. So it's all good.
author=Natook link=topic=2207.msg37384#msg37384 date=1223818971Eh, funny thing about that last comment. I figured out how fix the damn problem about six seconds after I posted that comment. So uh, all the stuff underthe comment was kind of unneeded, sorry. :)author=AznChipmunk link=topic=2207.msg37351#msg37351 date=1223792513author=Natook link=topic=2207.msg37340#msg37340 date=1223789282author=Garren link=topic=2207.msg37228#msg37228 date=1223755503
